birthgoat, I remember most of said nonsense. Potties were the worst I've ever seen in a festival setting. I think the stages had the same names...but I'm not sure either now. I know there was no Other Tent back then. My greatest memory was seeing SCI. Had never heard of them before that weekend, and they turned me into a life-long fan! Stick around, love reminiscing!
Off topic (like it matters), but i'm FUMING right now. Mumford is having 3 shows at the Ryman here in Nashville...tix went on sale an hour ago and INSTANTLY were gone. Now they're going for $250+ on StubHub
Goddamn scalpers can go to hell. This isn't OK...I have to go to this show. I MAD.

That always sucks. The same thing happened when the Avetts played in Chattanooga recently. The show sold out in 27 seconds, and there were tickets on craigslist for $200+ within an hour. Try wherever their fan forum is. I was able to get one for that Avetts show for face value from someone on their board.

I have only been the last 2 years so I don't know if this is correct about the naming of the stages. From what I heard the first year they actually didn't have names. That made people confused when trying to explain "what" tent the shows were at so lots of people were overheard saying "that" tent, "this" tent, "which" stage, etc. Which is why they ended up naming the tents those names to keep the confusion going. I believe I heard Ashley Capps say that in an interview.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
It's not a Mozart song. It may take from a Mozart song, but it's an ICP song. It's just like we don't call any of Girl Talk's tracks a Lil-Wayne-Beatles-Of-Montreal-Wiz-Khalifa-Journey song.

Maybe they didn't have names - i've been racking my brain trying to figure it out & came across this picture....

Yep...I remember reading that quote too. Been racking my brain all morning, and I think the What and Which were The Stadium and The Arena...? Amazing how much a decade can remove from your brain, huh?
So do we think we're getting an announcement on Tuesday telling us that the lineup will be out the 14th?
Last year we received an email on 2/9 (it was a Wednesday) letting us know that the lineup would drop on 2/15 (a Tuesday). I'd say it's a safe bet that either Tue/Wed/Thu of this week we get an announcement of the release date.
Yeah, and the Other tent wasn't added until (I think) 2004 - I remember not having it the first two years, but I distinctly recall seeing the X-ecutioners in it, and they were in 2004, so...
Wasn't there 5 tents in 2004? I remember there being another tent in between The Other and That. Perhaps I'm just mixing it up in my head.

Yet Another Tent. It was where The Other Tent is now, I believe, and I think The Other Tent was where the Ferris Wheel is now.
Wow, looking at that it shows all the guests bands used to have.. thats something we need again.. guests are always fun.
Every single year I expect more guest spots then I actually see.
Last year I saw a good amount though. Lots of Ben Sollee all over the place as well as Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
I'm hoping for more Phish set-ins this year. I was sure there would be some in 2009 and there weren't. I mean, they set in with Paul Shaffer on The Late Show, surely they could turn up somewhere else this year.
