If that article's true it would seem like DP would come over for more than one show in Chicago....
I mean there are plenty of respected posters here who have thought we are getting another big name... I don't see why they would be a less chance than an act like Neil Young. Plus we could very well still be missing a big electronic/hip hop name....
I'm honestly surprised Radiohead is returning before DP has ever played. They are just too perfect of a fit for the farm.
With that said I still don't think it'll happen but the chances have to better than 1 out of 100
Preferred Rap Acts: Outkast < Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg < OFWGKTA < ATCQ < Nas ft. the Roots < Wiz Khalifa & Snoop Dogg < De La Soul < Drake
Outkast > Watch the Throne > Kanye West solo > Jay-Z solo > ATCQ > The Roots > Dre/Snoop >>>>>>>>>Drake
(Only because I've already seen Jay-Z)
I've never seen either Kanye or JAY-Z solo. I honestly would probably rather catch a JAY-Z show than a Kanye show, although either would be amazing. I saw Watch the Throne in ATL this past October, I was working field security so it wasn't like I was having an AMAZING time, but they both did 25x better than Lil Wayne live. I just wish they'd done more than like 2 originals each.
EDIT: 2 originals each was a joke, I remember about maybe 5 from each artist. Here's the setlist: SETLIST: 1.H•A•M 2.Who Gon Stop Me 3.Otis 4.Welcome to the Jungle 5.Gotta Have It 6.Where I'm From 7.Nigga What, Nigga Who (Originator 99) 8.Can't Tell Me Nothing 9.Jesus Walks 10.Diamonds from Sierra Leone 11.Public Service Announcement 12.U Don't Know 13.Run This Town 14.Monster 15.Power 16.Murder to Excellence 17.New Day 18.Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem) 19.Izzo (H.O.V.A.) 20.Good Life 21.Empire State of Mind 22.Runaway 23.Heartless 24.Stronger 25.On to the Next One 26.Dirt off Your Shoulder 27.Touch the Sky 28.All of the Lights 29.Big Pimpin' 30.Gold Digger 31.99 Problems 32.No Church in the Wild 33.Lift Off 34.Niggas in Paris (Multiple Times)
Encore 35.Encore 36.Made in America 37.Why I Love You

I've seen both solo. I would say Kanye has a slight edge. Throne show was way way better but both killed it solo. i would want to see kanye solo even more now cause of how good mbdtf was. also idk about your throne show but at mine they played a lot of solo stuff. 23/38 songs were either kanye or jay solo
To be honest, this Daft Punk thing, was just what we needed to get us to the 14th. Unfortunately I'm going with bogus. I know the article is real, but it does seem like a outrageously fake rumor just to get people talking about this new festival.
Wait, are you defending that last piece of complete shite RHCP just put out?
I don't like your opinion either. I liked the record and listened to it a lot.
Yeah, I think the new RHCP is pretty good. Granted, I don't know a ton of their old, funky stuff, so I can't compare the new stuff to that. But most of the songs on IWY are good (although I don't like Raindance Maggie too much).

Disclaimer: I am not saying any of these bands are likely. Dont say something like clearly none of those people are coming cause your most likely right, however, I do think we still have one more headliner. Imo of any dark horse headliner Roger Waters is the most likely simply because of his schedule, I would also say Neil cause he has such a great relationship with AC. My other potential dark horses: The Throne Daft Punk Paul McCartney

Good. That means we will be having a good time while the rest of these people are sleeping or sitting around playing in the sand under a tent. Sucks for them.

I completely agree. RHCP keep screwing themselves with super weak first singles. Dani California and Raindance Maggie are imo the worst songs on both albums. Both are really good albums with tons of potential singles. With Stadium they should have gone with a song like wet sand or strip my mind, on IWY they should have had Monarchy of Roses as first single

Man are you going to be disappointed with Phish x2 - Radiohead - RHCP, because that is the top of the lineup imo.

i thought "21st Century" would make a good single, but i'm not always good at knowing what the general public wants to hear.
Looks like Daft Punk and Skrillex are playing Chicago the week after Bonnaroo. This could easily put both of them on the farm. Click the link for more information

We don't know this yet. We're either seeing Phish get two slots or 4 headliners as in 2008, 2010, and (kind of) 2011.
I swear everyone on here either drastically overpredicts headliners or think Bonnaroo never books more than 3 "headliners"
We get 4 headliners every year and sometimes even another huge act: PJ/Metallica/WSP/Kanye/JJ Bruce/Phish/Phish/Beasties/NIN Stevie/DMB/KoL/JayZ Eminem/AF/WSP/Keys/BS
If Phish doesn't play 2 sets, and we honestly don't know yet, then we will certainly see another headlinerish act. So far, we have 3 headliners. Saying another headliner is impossible (assuming Phish doesn't play x2) then what does one say about 2010? If we were given Stevie, DMB and KoL the same people would be saying we already have our 3 headliners and getting Jay-Z would be impossible.

This is why I referenced Phish x2 in my post. Also I stand by what I said hoping for another big name right now is just asking for disappointment. I think we are going to get some more big names Leonard Cohen/Bon Iver/Jack White all big enough to headline other fests, but I am pretty sure Insider gave us the top line here.

Radiohead, Phish and RHCP are our headliners. I'm not sure why this is even being debated. Be happy with the top three; it's a pretty solid cast of headliners.
