On topic though, from everything insider says I get the impresssion that the other saturday act is the headliner, billed over RHCP. She never confirmed RHCP was headlining Sat. And when she mentioned the 2 "R" bands headlining, she said she was using the term headlining loosely. This all suggests to me that there will be someone billed over RHCP for Sat night. This is potentially pretty big
totally forgot about this. great point, i think you’re right. im not trying to get my hopes up but i think this could be pretty huge.

My Saturday guesses in order of likelihood: D'Angelo>RHCP Snoop&Dre>RHCP Beach Boys>RHCP>Outkast
If it's Macca the ticket cost is going WAY up. The cost of bringing that type of show to the States for a one-off in a field without much of a corporate presence for subsidy, I just don't see it.
Prince is possible, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I think Beach Boys and NYCH are a lock either way at this point and are not what's in the air right now. I don't see how you can consider NY a non-current artist when this would be his third Bonnaroo appearance
Clapton would be great. Would he be billed over RHCP?
seriously? you ask that in a public forum?
Clapton is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist, and separately as a member of The Yardbirds and Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time.

So is Jeff Beck and he played a tent. I love Clapton, but I think RHCP is arguably more popular than Clapton at this point in time. I could see it going either way though

Add Paul Simon and Beach Boys, and I'd say we get someone from this group.
Its McCartney. I have been yelling this for a long time.
And gambit, I don't want to hear your lip.
My original lineup that I was calling way back when was
McCartney - Phish X2 - Foo Fighters
Obviously Foo is out. Replaced with Radiohead (win)
McCartney - Radiohead - Phish - RHCP
This makes sense, and can be done. Look at years past, and the money that was spent (Metallica/Pearl Jam anyone???)
Its more than possible at this point.
And like I have said before: He has played Glastonbury and Coachella. Its time he is on the farm.
As an aside: When insider used that "relatively loosely" language in reference to RHCP headlining I was SCREAMING that there would be another headliner. A big one. And everyone shit on me...

I seriously can’t comprehend the awesomeness of Macca/Radiohead Boonaroo. I’m pretty sure if I ever saw those two on the lineup I would immediately have a heart attack, and would have to attend Boonaroo as a ghost. That being said, I look forward to seeing the Beach Boys Saturday
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
