I caught the end of Sleigh Bells, it was certainly cool from the dancing/craziness aspect. However, I watched all of the Walkmen and they far exceeded my expectations, more so than anyone else I saw last night.
I second Deerhunter. I was disappointed at first b/c I've also liked the small crowds for them, but the tent was packed. Thankfully, like they do, they didn't dumb down their setlist to attract new folks, they still blazed through walls of sonic bliss that sent a few running for the hills. Best part of their set "Helicopter" by far.
Missed Sleigh Bells but Walkmen were enjoyable. The Drums were pretty high energy too, so that was nice.
The Walkmen. Deerhunter, Karen Elson, Best Coast, Band of Skulls and Futurebirds were good as well but it's def. The Walkmen and it wasn't even close imo..........

Band Of Skulls was damn near the best show of the weekend for me. SO GOOD AND SO TIGHT. They were also one of the few bands that apparently had a good sound crew. Also School Of 7 Bells was awesome too!

I despised Sleigh Bells. They're like music for people who don't like music. But Beats Antique put on a "Top 5" of the weekend for me. Such a great multimedia experience.

Deerhunter by far for me.
I had a ton of fun at Sleigh Bells but the performance really was lackluster. Futurebirds and Band of Skulls were great too, but Deerhunter easily takes the cake for me. "Nothing Ever Happened" is a masterpiece

The Walkmen were great. Showed up for Band of Skulls, outstanding, then was just going to hang out for Deerhunter and glad I did. Deerhunter was also outstanding, however I was staked out in front of the soundboard on the rail and near the end of the set some clown elbowed his way next to me and acted like he was going to puke either on the soundboard side of the rail or on me. Amateur. I took off early, Thursday is far to early to be puked on.
Yeah, but it was just him and his synths. No backing band. A bit disappointed in that.
Best show Thursday was either Deerhunter or The Walkmen. Both mind-blowing shows.
Dam Funk was amazing. And yes he did have a backing band. The first couple songs were just him and but the rest of the set was with the band. It was so sick!
