Tomorrow is my first day off with zero plans in a long time, my goal, dredge thru Game of Thrones(book). I'd like to get to Storm of Swords by the season premiere.
I believe you are right. In the book, it is Beric who actually fights with the sword, but part of Thoros' backstory fighting with Robert Baratheon was that he was known for fighting with a flaming sword.

Good call^. Not really close to anything spoilerish we've been talking about. Its also gonna be kind of hard to spoil, as I thought the second season started to deviate a good bit from the books. There were things that surprised me and I am not sure where they are taking certain story lines. May just be jumbling time lines a bit for practicality, we'll see.

What I like is their willingness to kill off main characters, without much of a second thought. Same reason I enjoy the walking dead. Cable has the best show to watch right now.

I read somewhere that they're planning on only covering roughly half of the third book this season, which I'm grateful for. Trying to do a whole book in one 10 episode season just cuts too much out for time. Fingers crossed they stay truer to the books this season too, season 2 went a little too far astray for my tastes.

Keep that avatar forever. Please.
I don't know about the avatar, but I definitely plan on keeping the VHS forever.

^^^I had it on VHS but I have no clue what happened to my copy. Sorry Mr. Van Damme.
Also, I would just like to let everyone know that I've listened to The National's version of The Rains of Castamere about 30 times this weekend. So yeah, I'm pretty pumped for the new season.
