....and I got the ok for Cville. Deltron/NMH back to back. This is going to be a great birthday weekend.
I totally appreciate that I am not the only one who feels he needs to get the ok for stuff. Well, I don't really need to get an ok so much as make her aware, but I feel like I need to.

I may or may not have squealed when I saw they'd be touring with a 16 piece orchestra.

Our show is in October as well if that makes you feel any better haha!
My October this year is absolutely insane.
I don't know why I thought more of those were in September. And yeah October is pretty ridiculous here as well. This is probably my most antisapated show at MOEMS so if yours is before then and you don't mind let me know how it was.

So I have tickets to see Sigur Ros in Pittsburgh on September 19. I paid about $40 for the tickets. I have only seem them once before; late night at Bonnaroo.
The same evening, about an hour and a half away, Dawes (my favorite band over the past 4 years) and Good Old War are playing a free show to kick off the Kent State Folk Festival. I've seen Dawes probably between 4 and 5 times.
The question remains: sell my Sigur Ros ticket and go see Dawes for free or go see Sigur Ros? This becomes even a trickier proposition when I could easily convince 2-4 of my good friends to go with me to see Dawes (music is always better shared; they also love Dawes). Right now I'm just planning on meeting an acquaintance for Sigur Ros.

that's easy. Sigur Ros. I have an extra ticket for the ATL show because my wife has to work that weekend.

You've seen Dawes more, it's a lot more traveling involved, and Dawes tours a whole hell of a lot more than Sigur Ros does.
In the last two years or so, I've seen Dawes four or five times - and could have easily another two or three on top.

If you enjoy Dawes that much go for it. I would not skip a band I enjoy seeing just because I have seen them before. It is about enjoying yourself, if Dawes will do something for you that you think Sigur Ros will not, then do it.
