YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Looks like I'll be making the drive to Norfolk if a Richmond show isn't added.
Orrrrrr just push a lil farther and come to DC! I think I'll be hitting up that show.
I'm deciding between DC and Philly, Rummy...leaning to DC due to Firefly being the weekend before, imagine I'll need a few nights to myself.

If I didn't go to Richmond this past weekend I would be going this weekend. Big Field Day is this upcoming Saturday, and on Sunday Old Crow is playing with Sturgill Simpson,

]The Austin show? I was just talking to a buddy of mine about that a few minutes ago. I think he had the wrong impression of what The Who was going to deliver. They kicked ass on Saturday, and it was a shorter set than you are going to get. Both Pete and Roger were great, and the backing band of like 6 other people were on it. Show was money. I don't really much care about Joan Jett, but I'm sure they will at least rock.

Yeah they were great. Pete mentioned Jeff Beck was watching from the side of the stage as well. Didn't get there in time to catch most of Joan tho, only the last song. Ringo Starr's son is The Who's drummer! So many RnR Hof connections!

Never knew that about Zak!! Found this on his wiki page:
"At age eight, he became interested in music when The Who's drummer Keith Moon gave him a drum kit. As a result, he knew him as "Uncle Keith". Moon was one of Ringo Starr's closest friends and Zak's godfather..."
Wow, him playing for The Who makes 100% perfect sense, that is so cool.
That's how it was for me with the FNM ticket prices. I wanted to see them really bad but not bad enough to spend $60-$70 to see them.
Is that ticket price really surprising for them? Shit it costs $55 to see fucking Alt-J now and you're bitching about $70 to see Faith No More (and Refused)? I've been wanting to see FNM forever and they have never came anywhere close to the south since the early 90s. So I have no problem driving 5 hours to Atlanta and paying whatever to see them this year.

Refused isn't playing with them at the austin show. I'd probably go if they were playing too but it's just FNM at this point.

Ain't even lying. Closest we've gotten to FNM was Mr. Bungle and even that was in the 90s.
Since I don't get to see Ride this week, I perked myself up by getting tickets for Speedy Ortiz on Thursday and Mac McCaughan on Friday. Not even close in comparison but I'm sure the booze will flow and fun will be had.
