Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Gonna try for either Nashville or Cinci for Prophets of Rage. To be seen.
So...my wife won us free tickets to see the Joy Formidable this Wednesday, but I've never listened to them before. Any suggestions on where to start?
I went in mostly blind to their Voodoo set last year and thought they were good. They are sort of pop but also sound alternative. They don't have that much material and you probably know one or two of their songs. Whirring is my favorite. Here's it from that set. Starts out song-y but gets buzzy by 2:30.

Sad they are not coming back to Asheville this year. Was just listening to their albums the other day. Oh well, at least the Charlotte show is on a Sat.

I'm planning on driving down to Long Island to visit my family next weekend, and it looks like Alvvays is playing a free show in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) Thursday evening. Debating whether or not it's worth it to take Friday off and drive down Thursday afternoon.

I have tickets to The Cure at MSG on Sunday night, I can't attend. They're section 210, row 1, seats 1 & 2. First row and aisle, so pretty good seats. Message me if interested.
