Hey, anyone who's seen this Gorillaz tour: approximately how long did everyone play and when did they go on? I just realized I have a night class I can't miss the night of the show and I would be bummed if I had to sell my ticket.

Seen them at a festival. Their set was around two hours, last song got cut off due to hitting the 10 pm curfew

Their Chicago show was about 1 hr, 45 min. I think KPO and I got there around 6:30 and the show ended at 10, including openers.

Saw Eric Slick open for Sinkane, he was much better than I'd expected really. Not a big Dr. Dog person so wasn't really sure what to expect. Steve Gunn was great live.

Anyone here seen Mount Eerie this year? Curious what the vibe at the show will be like
Just saw Phil on Thursday and all I can say is bring tissues. The new stuff is a continuation of the last record and equally as sad. He's generally upbeat about the songs, but realizes how much of a masochist you must be to see them live.

Color me excited!
Photay's set was holy shit levels of fun last night. He really plays around with his material when he plays live; a lot of the songs you'll recognize if you're familiar with the record*, but only tonally, not necessarily melodically, for maybe 50% of the live version. As he said when I spoke to him afterward, there's obviously a lot of prep that goes into essentially playing a different song on stage than the recording, but it's more fun for him and so it's more fun for us. It was good chatting with him. But, for real, if you like his record even at all, check his show out. Dance party status.
*which I highly recommend if you like weirdo electronic music that has to sort of work it's way up to a full groove. Or a true groove at all.
Note: I know that fucking around with your songs on stage is far from revelatory. But for an electronic show like that, usually I go into those shows expecting to essentially hear carbon copies of the record. I'm usually right. I was wrong last night.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
