06/26 New Orleans, LA @ Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square
The only really thing great about this show is it is at Champions Square, who ALWAYS has groupons/living social deals and I can get a cheap ticket without having to pay those pesky ticketmaster fees.
I can not explain how happy I am to finally be getting a REAL show from the pixies instead of a shortened fest show!!! to to it off, we get the first show of the tour!

Let me know when you see those deals pop up please!
So it ended kind of fucked up. FlyLo couldn’t hear and the preamps were fucked up. Tragic. Joy is one of my favorite concert/party bars, but they failed technologically sound wise. Live Nation bought out booking and production there, so get your shit together. However, my boy who works there said that’s what happens when you don’t sound check. So idk.
On the flip side I got a street team GRiZ flyer that said OPIUO was opening and Muzzy Bear. And that’s at Orpheum so hopefully....
Winter Circle Productions actually does booking for the Joy, but last night's show was not through them. thejeremy works for FESS and he wasn't scheduled due to the fact that it was an outside booking agency.
Yeah. WCP does book there, but Joy handled a lot of their own stuff too. Live Nation or some subsidiary books a ton of the stuff there now just like Bowery does or did at Civic. Most of the employees were fired, and there are new bartenders that work for some corporate outfit rather than just being Joy people. All the ticketing people and lights/production are still there.

I think that FESS staffs the entire venue, or they outsource for the bartenders and shit there. thejeremy was upset because he didn't get to work last night's show. He hasn't met the girl that did the booking yet. Apparently, they have several different people that do the staffing for each event, regardless of venue. Talk about confusing.

TMBG have 4 very popular children's albums, and do kids shows from time to time. A lot of parents have no idea that TMBG is an actual band, and they've had problems with people bringing toddlers to their rock shows.
See also: 30 year old band.
postjack made a nice TMBG playlist for me, and I like them, but my 5 year old is a way bigger fan. We had to stop letting her listen to them at bedtime bc she just stayed up singing.

That is awesome. Why haven't I seen snaps of that?

It's been teased that Zakk Wylde, Blasko, Tommy Clufetos and Adam Wakeman are the band. He will continue to do select live shows, but this should be it for touring. Paper Tiger is in San An, checked their site, GSY! showing. I was pretty confused for a second when I read the thing on P4k.
I would love to, but my situation and actions are leaning toward Lotus on Saturday.
Seen both of them this year, they were both fantastic live. So, not an easy decision. But I'd go with Slowdive as I'm not sure when they'll tour again.
