I've watched some of their footage on YouTube and they seem pretty entertaining. I planned to catch them at Waka last year, but it was such an early set and we were waiting for people to get through security line, so I didn't get over there. I'm excited to see them. But I'm the other way. I'd pick a Lotus set over just about anyone these days. I'm hopful they get 2 nights at Waka since they didn't play last year.
Oh and about your Coal Chamber show in April - me and my oldest were loving seeing that and will try to get out to Pensacola that Friday if possible. That should be a kick ass show.

Tentative 2015 Schedule so far:
1/16-Strand of Oaks 1/17-Cloud Nothings 2/7- Hozier 2/13- Nikki Lane 3/12 Gaslight Anthem 4/25 Neutral Milk Hotel Also will be hitting up Dr. Dog during their 3 nights in Chicago, just haven't decided what day yet. Also hopefully will snag some tickets for Fleetwood Mac.
I get last minute tickets pretty often at work for a lot of shows, but these are the only locked in so far besides some local bands which I'm not counting in my "show tally". 2014 was awesome for me. I think I hit 55 shows last year (I feel like I'm missing some on my list but I can't figure it out). Not including Pitchfork and Riotfest. It'll be hard to top that this year but I have hope.
For anybody around Asheville, The Mothlight has a free show with Elisa Ambrogio (of Magik Markers), Nathan Bowles (of Black Twig Pickers, Steve Gunn), and Divine Circles on January 26 at 9pm.
Just bought my ticket for the 3/10 show. Saw them a few years ago but am definitely not missing them this year. I like that new song in that Pitchfork article too!
Glad you get a chance to see them! They are my fav band of my generation, and one of my top 3 favorite live bands ever. I've seen them about 20x. I'm catching the Pensacola show next week, I'll post a setlist in here.
With the new dates I'll get to catch another NOLA show, score. The new songs are fuckin' badass live. Can't wait to hear more of them.
Esteban, you need to hit up that nola show. It's the day after Swans at One Eyed Jacks.

Just saw that Elton John is coming to Cincy on February 27. I thought his show was pretty boring, and would probably be worse in an arena, but I am still considering going.
Who makes guacamole happen!?!? Does a tabloid like the University of Oklahoma student paper make guacamole happen or do ME AND YOU make it exist? Just cause they write about it doesn't make guacamole exist - ME AND YOU MAKE IT EXIST!
this is the first show I'll have been to since november. pretty sure it's the longest gap between shows I've had since I moved to minneapolis and it's been KILLING ME.

Has anybody seen Alt-J since their new album came out? I loved their Roo set in 2013...haven't seem them since. Considering going to the April show in Raleigh, but wonder if it would be worth the 3 hour drive.
