Thinking about the Atlanta show. Too bad it's at Opera. I'm not a huge fan of the city's "hottest nightclub."

I was maybe going to be in town that weekend anyway, but not even $10 can get me to Opera.
Yeah, it seems like quite the place, but I love DJ Shadow and think it could be a good way to spend a post birthday party. Plus, really 10 bucks.
But, how is the place really so bad? I'm really curious... I'd imagine with an act like DJ Shadow maybe the demographic would be a bit different than the college nights, GGW type stuff that they post all over the website... right?

I'm not trying to talk you out of going, but I'm not sure DJ Shadow's presence will change much, especially with such a low cover. They usually have a cover anyway. It's really just an awful super-club, an awful bottle service nightmare. There are platforms with stripper poles on the main floor, and the only time I've been there, groups of meatheads would circle around the platforms and goad wasted girls onto the pole. They would beat the platform and chant and shiz, and the guy/girl ratio was like 3/1, so it was extra creepy.
I've only been that once, but everyone I know who goes there regularly is into that kind of scene. If I had never seen DJ Shadow before, I'd probably be tempted. I've seen him a couple times, though, so I can sit this one out.
