anyone doing the flips?!? just got my ticket for NYE. Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon in the building? going to be epic. don't know if anyone saw or not but a ticket purchase also get's you into the after party at The Womb which goes til sunrise
I would wig the quack out if Yoko Ono ever got on a stage I was viewing literally wig the quack out. I am still reeling from the one and only Les Claypool performance I ever DISLIKED! 2005 Gabby Lala at Roo. She was billed as a cross between Bjork and Yoko. I was both enthralled and disgusted at the same time by the idea. Yet onward I went to the show. That was a rough day in hindsight it was my first day at Bonnaroo EVER it was like 108 degrees is what I remember the radio person saying cheerfully. I was so quacking ready to die Big E. Smalls level ready. Then i walked back to camp found some corn wigged the quack out killed my ego (after all in one way shape form or the other that is what a vast majority of farm attendees are after and I will argue this until I am blue in the face with an unholy forum of me, Juggs and Sproat at brunch this year if it comes down to it). Anyway to mark that day I drag this up for you Gabby La la

Oh and speaking of Yoko Ono has anyone ever had the privilege of watching a "not so rare in these days of online video sharing" rare early Pink Floyd video called "London 66-67" or alternatively "Tonight Lets All Make Love in London" or "The Amazing 14 Hour Technicolor Dream"? It is probably some of the earliest Pink Floyd video available. It was filmed in the 1960's London on the eve of when they criminalized LSD. In the video Syd Barret is still in the band. There is not a one dirty filthy hippie in sight. Everyone in the video are dressed like being a Mod was still the height of fashion. And EVERYONE looked like they were quacking out of it. As part of the festivities Yoko Ono was a performance artist that climbed on top of a ladder and according to a book I read had a pair of scissors with a microphone taped to them and she climbed on top of a ladder. She then had people come up and cut off her clothes until she was but ass naked on top of the ladder the microphone was so everyone could hear that snip sound when scissors cut through fabric. In the audience walking around was a very young John Lennon they had never been in the same room until that point in time. Anyway enjoy my bit of Yoko Ono trivia and here are the goods Highlights of the video include a) A poop ton of Mods who barely ever get a nod for their contributions to the counter culture movement b)The legendary Syd Barret in top form showing that at one point the whole Waters/Gilmour thing was absurd. Indeed in the video Gilmour was yet to be a member of the band. c) Yoko Ono in the spotlight before she hooked up with John Lennon d) John Lennon walking around having a good time at a show like a normal person e) Some superior non-album uncut versions of early Pink Floyd songs "Interstellar Overdrive" and "Nick's Boogie" f) Allen Ginsburg reading a poem e)this was probably the first rave ever

Their message board has no idea. Somebody there said they called the venue and they had no idea. Their Chattanooga date right beforehand doesn't list anyone either. According the website, they've been switching openers quickly recently. I know their NYE show last year had the Dave Mayfield Parade open. He's one of their close friends, so it wouldn't surprise to seem him there again.
We got George Clinton and Parliment down here at the Bond-Fire, but they are on for the 30th. It will be interesting to see what state-of-mind Clinton is in.
Anybody in Florida(or any where for that matter) heading to the Bond-Fire?

Tonight can't get here fast enough. I am starting to think this run will truly be legendary. I am only going to the first three nights now, and doing Washed Out/Futurebirds on Friday.
