I may or may not have woken up early this morning to steal a dozen eggs from a professional actress.
Also: On yesterday's 93 degree day, I watched the first half of the finals in my undies in a kiddie pool in my friends' backyard, drinking a miller lite while two of them were stark naked smoking weed. It was quite the scene.
I seem to remember MTV being nothing but Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses video "trilogies" for like a year, but I'm pretty sure those albums were a few years apart.
A friend just posted this on Facebook. We used to be in youth group together many moons ago. I bet she prays for me & my heathen lifestyle often.
You are using the word friend very loosely I hope. I would also stop notifications if this shit popped up on my timeline.
Very, very loosely. If I ran into her I would probably avoid eye contact & move on. I should probably just unfriend her. That's usually my litmus test.
These people need to stop telling me their cat is gonna love me. I promise you it won't. I've never been a fan of cats. Cats have never been a fan of me. Your cat can smell my irreverence. Your cat is smarter than you. Please don't pick up and place your cat on my body, unless you want to watch the quickest, most amicable, non-verbal display of the sentence, "Nah, I'm good," from both parties.

I got my Kendrick Lamar - Unititled Unmastered vinyl album today. Came with a very lazy autograph. The autograph one didn't cost extra....it was just for the first however many orders. But still.....I took it out and laughed at how this is considered a signature.
I work in an office building next to the Superdome. About once or twice a month, they do concerts in Champions Square which is also right next to us.
They're doing soundchecks outside right now. Just a constant slow metronome of bass. Boom......Boom......Boom....... It sounds like Godzilla is coming. But, no. We aren't so lucky. It's only Rick Springfield. And he is slowly stomping towards the city, trying desperately to find Jessie's girl. And he will take down any building in his path.

Damn, I wish I was NOLA.
You wish you were being taken down by Rick Springfield?

What's the best thread to post original music? My good friend's band finally released their first single and I'm excited to see what people on inforoo think.

The Art of Such and Such subforum in the Other Tent is for songs, poems, etc., but I think it gets almost no traffic.
This is probably your best bet, but I don't know that it really gets that much attention either: Songs made by your friends

Went for a hike up in the Adirondacks today and discovered that there are Peregrine falcon's nesting on some of the rock faces. Didn't get to see one, but I'm gonna see a damn falcon before the summer is over!

We used to have a summer place up there when I was growing up and I'm still part of a Facebook group for the place. For the last couple of years there's been a nesting family of bald eagles. So cool!

Sleeping Beauty mountain is where I saw signs for the falcon nests. The park is participating in an endangered species program, so all the rock climbing trails are closed there.
Bald Eagles are becoming more and more common lately, which is awesome. I still haven't seen one but one of the local weather guys gets pictures of them sent in all the time from just outside Troy (Averill Park & Poestenkill, mostly). My parents have had a hawk's nest nearby. We never could find it, but the parents & babies would always hang around the yard when it was time to learn how to hunt and fly so we always figured it was super close.

We have a bald eagle nest next to a football stadium on a busy road. There's signs all around it and they've been there for three years. Babies have come and gone and some fly over my house. Nature is neat.
There's a webcam that shows a family of falcons that nest in a highrise downtown
www.wfsb.com/category/281239/falcon-cam "Peregrine falcons began nesting on the ledge of Monarch Place in Springfield, MA, in 1989, and through those years, they have produced more than 30 offspring. A nesting box was permanently attached to the side of the building to safeguard the eggs and falcons."

Peregrine falcons can dive at 250 MPH. They are the fastest animal on earth. I learned this from my 9 year old son, you reminded me.
