Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
EDIT: That's what I had from like 7th grade through all of college. In 5th/6th I was Rose1Rose and for a hot second in the middle I tried out SexyBonz (SexyBons?), but went back to the angel one.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Given that June is the busiest time of the year for my job, I won't be attending Bonnaroo or any May-June festival for the foreseeable future. Suggestions for best post-June festivals that have at least some decent EDM?
I got a thank you for your loyalty 20 anniversary from my yahoo email account not too long ago.
OK on that note, what was everyone's AIM name?
I was WuT KillaB.
Ive been rocking snowmanpj about 20 years, since AOL days. When I fist started talking to my wife she was worried that it was because I was really into cocaine.

My AIM screenname was hisjazziness. Because I had a buddy who was looking for an alliterative nickname for me and came up with Jazzy Josh and it just devolved from there.

I'm pretty bummed I can't remember any of my screen names now. What I can tell you is that my away messages were super dope. And my profile had a little plug-in that would show you a different Deep Thought by Jack Handey every time you looked at it.

Deep Thoughts were the best.
No kidding. Jack Handey, both the writer and the bit, had such a profound effect on me as a teenager. I'm still blown away by some of the stuff he came up with.

same. the one about taking his nephew to "disney world" but instead taking him to a burned down building and telling him disney world burned down was one of the first times I can recall being exposed to dark humor and finding it hilarious.
I find it interesting the forces that form (or maybe inform) our sense of humor. early nineties SNL was clearly a big one for me, as was Late Night with David Letterman. There were many others after that but what hit me the hardest, especially in terms of "alt" comedy was the UCB comedy central series. I kept watching it and kept not laughing until one day I started laughing, and I still say quotes from that series on a regular basis.
I just had my first job interview in over 13 years (only the 4th in my life) and it went really, really well. Waiting on one more offer as well. Wish me luck.

Yea I find this kind of stuff really fascinating. The things that just happened to be available to me as a bored kid completely shaped who I am today. Hannah-Barbera cartoons, Nickelodeon in its hey-day, The Simpsons, Comedy Central running SNL, stand up specials and Wet Hot American Summer ad nauseam. I didn't question it at the time--I just enjoyed it--but exposure to those things led me to more and more of my favorite things and completely shaped my personality. And now I have a common, shared experience with so many other people who did the same.
Oh and the first super dark Deep Thought I remember was, "Dad always said laughter was the best medicine. I guess that's why so many of us died of malaria."

Since no one answered this, I feel like you should go for a Euro fest like Dekmantel or Melt.

Disney World is my favorite ever. Another great one is "I imagine a world without war, and I imagine us invading it because they'd never see it coming."

OMG I had the same thing and completely forgot about it until just now. Thank you for that lol.

And y'all should read this profile of Jack Handey from NY Times Magazine. It's super interesting. Or at least open it up for an awesome picture of a fake dead dog in the Yard-a-Pult sketch from SNL.

Kids in the Hall and Mr. Show, along with the ones you mentioned, were great. I need to watch some now and see how they hold up!
