I love that the little coffee kiosk thing in Grand Central uses Battenkill milk. But now I'm wishing I asked if they had chocolate milk and if they would kindly make my cortado with that.
Fully recognize that I'm the only person here that will understand the glory that is Battenkill chocolate milk.
This morning I had a dream that I was late for a final exam and I woke up rushing to get to my exam on time. It took me a good 5 minutes before I realized it was summer and it was all a dream. Talk about instant relief.

During undergrad I had a crazy hard math test coming up and I was freaking the quacking out. I studied late into the night and set multiple alarms extra early to study in the morning. My first alarm went off, and in my sleep deprived stupor, instead of setting the alarm ahead, I set the clock on my phone ahead an hour. So shortly after my secondary alarm goes off (set for an hour ahead) and I look at the clock and think I'm late. I literally sprinted the length of UT campus to get to... an empty building. But I got that extra hour of studying and passed diff eq so, whatever. But I literally thought my heart was going to explode

While sitting in the Natural History museum today, I found out that one of the very few people I would call a friend at work passed away very suddenly. He'd been out of work recently for a detached retina and I had just saw him Thursday when he came in to tell us the laser surgery didn't work. He was scheduled for another corrective surgery on Monday. His step-daughter found him slumped over the lawn mower yesterday.
It's not real yet, even though I've cried a few times today. It probably won't hit me until I go to work on Monday and he's not there to sarcastically tell me what a great day it's been.
