While sitting in the Natural History museum today, I found out that one of the very few people I would call a friend at work passed away very suddenly. He'd been out of work recently for a detached retina and I had just saw him Thursday when he came in to tell us the laser surgery didn't work. He was scheduled for another corrective surgery on Monday. His step-daughter found him slumped over the lawn mower yesterday.
It's not real yet, even though I've cried a few times today. It probably won't hit me until I go to work on Monday and he's not there to sarcastically tell me what a great day it's been.
I'm so sorry, that must be heartbreaking for everyone who knew him.

Thanks lady.
Side note: totally thought I was posting this in the grr thread.
Yeah I unsubscribed, fingers crossed! Apparently I was "subscribed" by someone inviting me to use LinkedIn. Annoying!
I don't like LinkedIn, but I run the College's page, so I am forced in there. The thing that I hate most is the page where they suggest connections. They mix in people with accounts with people from your contact list that they don't have an account for, and they all look exactly the same. Unless you're paying close attention, it's really easy to invite someone to join LinkedIn by accident.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
We had a house inspection yesterday. They just said that we would hear something within four days, but I have already been compulsively checking my e-mail. I'm so nervous. The results of this inspection will have a huge impact on how easy or difficult the next month or so will be.
The inspection went well! Now I just have to get our rental situation in Macon sorted out, and most of the big things will be settled for the move!
Someone tried to change my FB password at 4:20 AM today. (Don't think the time escapes me)
I have it locked with a reset code. But my question is, why? What does someone want with control of my FB page? I know my photos of the food I eat at spectacular, but really?

Try and scam your friends out of sending you some cash or something similar.

Or use your FB login for other sites, since they can be linked up to sooooo many things now.

I just realized that AEG bought out Bowery Presents last year (they already were the consolidated grouping of Brooklyn Bowl, Terminal 5, Bowery Ballroom, and 2 other venues in the city); and now they straight up are buying out Webster Hall.. ugggh these monopolies are going to suck the soul out of New York drip after drip..
Aw man, it was great. A proper write-up would take far longer than anyone here would probably care to read, and might necessitate multiple installments, so suffice it to say that I experienced more new things in the past month than I have in the previous year or two. And I saw bears and coyote and moose and Mormons! I also want to move now, and have the post-trip blues pretty hard. Luckily I have 60GB of pictures to go through now to keep me occupied.
I'll do a long post about the trip when I have a large chunk of time in front of me.

I definitely want to read that too long post and see the pictures
All the freshman OSU football players came into the restaurant I work at today. They took up three full hibachi tables and each one of those tables ordered more than thirty full orders fried rice. I assume they're super humans.

I disagree. Make a new thread. Take your time but post about the journey you had. Dozens of us will like it.

Do it like ITT said, new thread, multiple posts. Crafting one large post can get overwhelming. Also, what if I dislike part of your story but like another part? I won't be able to "like" your post in good faith.
