I figured that the question of "fairness" would some day bubble up to the mainstream when trans athletes competing with their chosen gender started winning stuff. I really don't know how I feel about it. Track is one of the toughest of all, because I'm pretty sure that every men's track and field record exceeds every women's record. So if a really fast guy competes as a woman and is faster than all the women, that kind of sounds like a setup to me. I still remember the tough Eastern Bloc women who used to compete in the Olympics who were all hopped and jacked up. But it's not really as simple of a situation as it seems to be. I don't know how society will end up dealing with this, but I would think we will see some combination of forcing people to compete as their biological gender and some degree of leeway.
I just want to say that I would never watch the first re-edition of "Planet of the Apes" again, but "War of the Planet of the Apes" is almost significant and impressive on a story line basis.

I’ve enjoyed every one since the one with Franco.
The writing is just clearly better.. it's a little too long - which is kind of his thing anyway - but it seriously hits a lot of good points without making them large political statement out right. They are emotional cues in it, and the symbolism of the Apes with full autonomy matches where Westworld dwells in (just movie aspect vs. episodic)

^That reminds me something I thought about the other day and couldn't decide on. Who's the GOAT when it comes to female pop? Madonna or Beyonce?
I honestly can't answer that.
Beyonce. She hasn't had the tapering off that Madonna has late in her career. I like Madonna's catalogue better but she hasn't really done much memorable in over a decade. (Except for making out with Drake?)

I will answer it is Bey.
Bey elevated the culture.
I like Beyonce way more than Madonna but both have impacted music in many ways. The other thing to consider is Madonna has come and gone while Beyonce is still "here" and will we be feeling the same way about her in 20 years from now?
Thinking of everyone with shitty dads, absent dads, dead beat dads today. Don’t let anyone make you feel like crap for not celebrating your father today, your mental health is more important than some patriarchal bullshit holiday.

my a/c hasn't been working since i got home from roo last week. it hasn't been to bad and i hadn't called anybody about it yeet. well it was 95 here yesterday so figured i should get it fixed. called the dude and he came out to look at it, tried 4 diff things and confirmed the compressor won't kick in. totally was hoping we were going to have a/c not too long after he arrived, now i'll be spending $2k+ on that. luckily the highs this week are upper 70s so i'll be able to make it without a/c for the week

Could you buy a $100 window A/C for the time being?
Got my car refinanced, bought a sweet new butter dish, found some vintage pyrex bowls for cheap... I'm adulting like a boss this week.
Vintage pyrex is probably best. There are all the Chinese knockoffs (including some labeled Pyrex) that have been exploding in ovens. There were some b.s. emails going around a few years ago, but it's a real problem which I'm sure you are aware.
