So I gave in and started drinking coffee. Holy Sh*t my mornings are so much more productive. I always had the stance since I was 22 I don't need coffee, oh boy was I wrong.

Here's a video of my uncle playing with Levon Helm. They were in a group together for a short while before he started singing again and revitalized his career with the new albums and midnight ramble sessions. I had to cut up a DVD into a few videos for my uncle so he could post these to Youtube since him and the other guys are working on a new album after splitting a little while back. Nothing spectacular but just cool to see my uncle play with Levon after hearing about it (I got into music and learned who Levon was well after they played together). My uncle plays bass and isn't really a big part of the videos but it was still cool to see:

Currently drinking a Caramel Macchiato, I'm convinced that without this drink, Starbucks would be of no use to anyone.
If a coffee shop doesn't have it on the menu, just ask for a vanilla latte(hot or iced) with caramel sauce on the inside of the cup. It's the same thing.

Harry Boyle's one-room, one-chimney house With its settle bed was our first barber shop. We'd go not for a haircut but "a clip": Cold smooth creeping steel and snicking scissors, The strong-armed chair, the plain mysteriousness Of your sheeted self inside that neck-tied cope — Half sleeveless surplice, half hoodless Ku Klux cape. Harry Boyle's one-roomed, old bog-road house Near enough to home but unfamiliar: What was it happened there? Weeds shoulder-high up to the open door, Harry not shaved, close breathing in your ear, Loose hair in windfalls blown across the floor Under the collie's nose. The collie's stare.

A "real" macchiato is nothing like either though.
Starbucks doesn't exactly make a "real" one. Ordering what I described will result in what his expectations are.
Colorado's Department of Transportation is hoping residents are willing to listen to a porcelain source of wisdom as it launches a new anti-drunk driving campaign featuring talking urinals, according to KUNC 91.5.
The radio station reported the transportation authority has placed sensor strips at the bottom of bar urinals in Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder that begin to play a recorded message when they detect an incoming stream.
The goal is to target young men, the demographic that most often drinks and drives, with a message they haven't heard many times before, a spokesperson told KUNC.

cr****
I think if I was sh*tfaced and a urinal started speaking to me, I'd just about get down on my knees right then and start weeping for Jesus to save my soul.

Electric Zoo in NYC was cancelled today because of two death's resulting from MDMA overdose yesterday. Surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here. My Facebook newsfeed is blowing up over this.

Was it supposed to be a 3 day?
Yeah, Bloomberg's office basically forced the festival to close down today. They had 2 molly OD's that resulted in deaths, plus somewhere between 4 and 8 people sitting in an ICU in critical condition right now from OD's.

Wasn't there another fest in NY shut down for similar reasons?
Just asking because it seems like NY is being particularly proactive.

EDC NY had a lot of similar issues, but I don't think any sets were cancelled, let alone a whole day. Governor's Ball lost a day to a storm, maybe you're just combining the two?

What was the one at an arena and there was something to do with a helicopter?

I hope they release some general toxicology. Purer stuff than normal? Cut with something bad? I'd expect that stuff to be stepped on six ways from Sunday.

Agreed. I highly doubt MDMA alone caused this. I feel like it's probably a case of bunk/cut stuff (MDPV or methylone or PMA or something). Or maybe just irresponsible use (dehydration, alcohol, d interaction, hyperthermia, etc). Either way it's really tragic, and indicative of the problem with d policy here.
EDIT: Though I'm hesitant to say that toxicology reports will change anything. Remember the Miami face eater dude? Yeah only marijuana was found in his system.

Agreed. MDMA isn't inherently toxic and I highly doubt it alone is what caused this. I feel like it's probably a case of bunk/cut stuff (MDPV or methylone or PMA or something). Yeah, as my uncle would say, "it's hard to say, not knowing..." but some kind of amphetamine or analog is what I was wondering too. Difficult to distinguish from heatstroke until the damage is already done. Like I said, I hope whoever the appropriate authority is releases some general toxicology. It'd be nice to know what's going around.
