Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I've been contemplating my future festival plans - for whenever I get to one NOT within a few hours drive (Newport, Mtn Jam, Boston Calling, etc...). Might be 2016, might be 2017. We shall see. Right now I'm between Roo, Shaky Knees, or Osheaga. If I have to pick one for 16 or 17, which one?
Shaky Knees.
I'm curious why you say SK over Roo
Here's my thoughts:
Roo Pro: consistently large and deep lineups, been there done that, nearly everyone will be there Con: most expensive to do, usually more hot/humid than I'd like to tolerate, camping aspect doesn't do anything for me
Shaky Knees Pro: lineups look good for a midsize fest, never been to Atlanta, I prefer city fests Con: still have to fly there
Osheaga Pro: never been to Montreal, relatively close with a 5½-6 hour drive, considered the best fest in Canada Con: Would most likely have to skip most/all of Newport in order to do this. (If I wasn't planning on buying a house soon, I would have tried to do that this year.) If it falls on the last Friday of July, I'm also most likely going solo.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I thought of you and Son of a Beek when my bus showed up 20 mins early.
Shut the front door.
Going to get to my apartment about an hour before the sun comes up.
We are just now to Lexington. I'll be home well after the sun is up.
Edit: jk. We're not to Lexington yet. We stopped in some random town so the driver could smoke and we could eat. Hardee's may have the worst breakfast I've ever had.

wait until the lineups come out and see which one tickles your fancy.
I know how you feel. I don't have any tips to make it easier except to remind you that the bonds we all share outlast those times when we can't be in the thick of things.
you guys are always welcome in Savannah should you make it down this way! As are any Inforoosters ????
Hey Zen, how long have you lived in savannah? My wife and I lived there in 04-06...I was working at 2 of the stores in river street...good times were definitely had there
moving there in less than a month. been trying for years to return to the Lowcountry and finally made it happen. It's not Charleston (where I spent my childhood and every summer until round I of college) but its pretty damned close. My daughter lives there now too which is a plus.
I have had a really tough past 3 years and right now is as bad as its ever been during that time, but the salt water and Spanish moss have a magical healing power for my soul and always have. I am ready for peace and to be surrounded by beauty, nature and history. Hopefully this will prevent my dying as a bitter old woman. haha
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I just calculated my grade in this Structures class I have to take a final for in 3 hours with the new grades added since I left for Shaky Knees. I don't need any to get any points on the final to pass the class. Score no pressure
and I hope to have visitors! I will be halfway between the beach and historic downtown. 15 mins either way
Nice! We used to live right off Victory Dr headed towards the islands. We always talk about going back with the kids but haven't made it happen yet...
I will be on Whitemarsh Island, on Johnny Mercer right at the intersection with Victory or whatever its called at that point! Inforoosters always welcome
i just signed up for tickets to go to a taping of "american ninja warrior" memorial day weekend. should be cheesy, delicious fun under all the fluorescent lights in the middle of the night.
So I am selling on StubHub for my first time ever. I knew their fees were nutso, but I don't think I ever realized the extent of it. They are really looking to make almost 150 bucks if I sell a ticket at "$550"?
I paid $640 and am looking to lose at least $200 bucks (And below isn't even what I will be listing it for as there are a few pairs of VIP for around $1,000, so I have to drop the "buyer sees" to around $500 This sucks. Damn you new job and not letting me go to Mountain Jam!

Super, super jealous. Me and my buddy used to get stupidly baked and watch the Japanese version for hours.

it's definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. i leave for work at 10pm on monday nights, and i spend the last couple hours before i leave watching it to wind down before my shift. i don't understand the strength of people's fingertips.

It's one of those shows you can watch for 2 hours and just completely lose track of time. I've always wanted to be on that show. When I'm in shape, I think I'd do pretty well. The fingertip strength on some of these guys is incredible though. You can definitely tell who rock climbs and who doesn't.

take this to the garbage tv thread, you fools!!!
(this is only said due to any judge-y comments black dynamite has made in the garbage tv thread. you're one of us now.)

Try listing it on Ebay for 10 days first, their fee is much more reasonable (oor nothing depending or their promotion at the time and if you've listed before). Worth a shot at least

Come on, I was like 16 haha!!
I've always been one of you guys. I didn't judge the shows! I only judged your commitment to said shows .
Plus, Ultimate Ninja Warrior is way cooler than the Bachelor, let's be real here.
i am on the mobile app and can't do a search so don't scold me ???? but is there a camp Inforoo at TO this year? I am not going ???? but my Maggie is and wants in!
I don't feel like starting a new thread for it so I will say it here, I talked to Status at Shaky Knees and he won't be doing a Roo poster this year but it sounds like he has multiple shirts. He had a crowd when I was there so I didn't want to needle him about MMJ shows

Ugh yeah stub hub is my least favorite of the resale sites honestly. I would suggest either eBay as others have said or putting up a local Craigslist ad and see how that goes. Good luck, girl!
