To quote Sia, I'm alive. So far so good. I have a feeling once pain block wears off it will be a different story, but I am way more optimistic about how I'll feel at Roo than I was before surgery.
And thank you for all the snaps & texts. And my awesome REI chair. I love you guys.

Wandering around the city alone for a few hours while Jack is in class and I decided to grab a bite to eat in this restaurant purely because I liked the song they were playing. The food is great. Goes to show that good taste in food and music often overlap.
What was the song?
Idr. It wasn't a song I knew very well. More so something that just something I liked the sound of and sounded vaguely familiar.

"Dont call me Leo." "But you said in your office that I can call you Leo." "That was in my office Bob. In my home, I'd like you to call me Dr. Marvin."

My oldest just came up and said, "I have some bad news. I spilled your wine all over your headphones. But I cleaned it up so don't "wine" about it, okay?" He was smiling so hard the whole time he was telling me, I should have known a pun was coming.
Also, bad days are made incredibly better by reading inforoo threads where people tell us how horrible we are.

I wish I loved anything as much as that kid loves bad puns.

I've never been on the board during Bonnaroo but I imagine it's like when a class goes on a field trip in elementary school and all the kids who didn't get their permission slips are left behind.

It can't be that bad...
A few of us got together at Fawn's place and watched the Roo webcast the last few years. This year, most of the group is busy and there's no gathering.

It doesn't even feel like Roo.
That sounds bad. I think since you had a routine that isn't happening and bonnaroo isn't happening, it sounds worse than that no permission slip scenario.

I won't be leaving from my current job site til 6pm tomorrow, which means I won't get home til about midnight Monday night, Tuesday morning.
I'm planning to leave around 9pm on Tuesday evening. However, since I've been out of town for work for the past 2 weeks, I've done ZERO prep. With the exception of some frozen water bottles I left on my freezer from Levitation.
In that time, I still need to get my oil changed, tires rotated/balanced, go beer shopping (very important), pack my whole car, and still try and find time to sleep so I can make the 1000 mile drive.
Tuesday's going to suck. But it will be worth it when I get there. Going to crash hard Wednesday night though.
