Speaking of Hogwarts, do any of you have any Universal Studios/Harry Potter hook ups or pro tips? I'm planning to surprise my wife with a one or two day trip there this year.

If you stay in a Universal studio hotel you get in an hour early. Worth it. Hogwarts gets crazy busy. We saw wait times for the castle at two hours. Eat at the Three Broomsticks. The food is good. They actually copied the restaurant for the movie since it was built before the movie came out.

Good tips. Thanks! We have local friends we can stay with for free, so I'll check the cost and weigh that in, but getting in early sounds great. Any advice on getting tickets cheaper than Universal has them listed?

I'll get the names of some of the agencies that have hookups on ticket prices soon, but I can't remember them at the moment. Also, eat at the ice cream store in Diagon Alley and of course drink butter beer (the frozen is better.) That ice cream is seriously some of the best I've ever had.

Pass on anything you hear about to me! This is actually where I'll be instead of at Bonnaroo (much better option).

In case there was any doubt how huge of a nerd I am, I got a watch today (surplussed lost and found plunder) that has a chronograph (basically stop watch for longer time periods) and my first thought is "ohhh i can use that to see how long Dondantes and Steam Engines are live"

I was expecting nerdier! You probably are the biggest MMJ nerd alive, though.

I'm really about average at best level of MMJ nerdiness compared to some of the people in the fan group i'm in.

That's not nerd, that's awesome. Though, I would be too distracted to remember to press start. Definitely a Bacon job!

This week I have had multiple coworkers ask me about Bonnaroo and whether they should let their kids go. Every kid they've asked about is 16 or 17-years-old and is convinced this is the greatest lineup imaginable in the history of music and they'll never have a chance like this ever again.
Do all girls leave hair for you to find EVERYWHERE, or am I just that lucky that my girlfriend does? I never had this problem with my sister or mom growing up.

I shed constantly. I stopped blow drying my hair because it makes it worse (and I'm lazy), but even without that, I still lose a lot.
My hair is definitely everywhere. I try my best to avoid it, but I have a lot of it, and it's unavoidable.
Not sure how you lucked out growing up- maybe your parents cleaned more often than you do Also, you sister and your mom were not getting dressed in your bedroom and sleeping in your bed (I hope).

we recently did some rearranging and cleaning. Boyfriend was horrified by the amount of hair we swept up.

To be fair, I drop a decent amount of hair in the shower. I think lady hair gets more of a reputation because it tends to longer and more noticeable.
That's a solid point. Our hair is probably just more noticeable. Except at the sink, when I had a male roommate, I could always tell when he shaved no matter how hard he (sometimes) tried.

We're getting old, you guys.
No, we're getting better. Bonnaroo is getting younger.
