Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Can I just point out how salty I am about this? This is literally the exact type of work I do and I don't qualify for this due to location and the fact that I'm graduating this semester.... I'm also confused bc it says spring semester, which we're already halfway through...sooooo......? idk.
To be fair, it was the inaugural "we don't want to take booze home so let's drink it all Sunday night" party. I don't think many of us got out of that unscathed. There's pictures on sleepy's facebook. One is of me, tronik, LoveLuckLaughter and Duddits (miss you, boo bear). LLL is telling a story which we all seem to find hilarious. Nobody has any memory of any portion of it though even directly after Bonnaroo.
Edit: The pictures are suitably blurry AF.
I think I ran into it for a little while. I probably should of stayed longer, but I had to be all responsible and go back to M'boro.
I remember kdogg giving me a Miller Lite. Though he was boycotting at the time, "it was free" so he didn't care.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I was scrolling through old pictures on Facebook last night and had the same thought Why'd he have to leave us EVERYWHERE?!
I was thinking about him last week. He was my one of my Cleveland concert buddies. Wonder where life has taken ole Duddits and how married life is for him. Maybe he had a baby by now. So many questions.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Perhaps the most important question is the status of his beard.

Does anyone else end up listening to the same album multiple times in a row simply because the idea of finding a new album to listen to is too much work/too stressful for that exact moment?

I miss the days of wearing an album out. Nowadays I'm always moving to something new, trying to hear as many new things as possible. It seems like the last two records I really played the hell out of were Sturgill's last one and A Moon Shaped Pool.

I group mine together in lists so I don't do this anymore - like, this album runs into this album nicely, and so on. I throw LCD on the table, and that rule goes out the window
Speaking of you lady love, we'll be in Ohio in the first couple weeks of May and plan on making a day trip to Cleveland for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame so we'll have to pick a day when it gets closer that you'll be around to at least get dinner and hang out for a night!!!

Yeah, the point is that it's not my goal to wear them out. I am not replaying because I HAVE to listen to it for the third time in a row. I replaying because I am too busy to decide on a new album at that second and I don't want to sit in quiet. So replay!

Hey now, I don't just boycott that horse piss solely on account of their political donations. I also boycott that horse piss because I'm a beer snob and it's horse piss.

Wisconsin had an unseasonably warm stretch in the 60s in the middle of February. I put Rancid's ...And Out Come the Wolves in my car stereo and couldn't bring myself to take it out until snow reared its ugly head again. Fifteen days later.

It is definitely never my goal to wear anything out that I enjoy. I just miss listening to something so much I know every detail, like I used to have maybe 15 to 20 albums a year like this. My suggestion for you would be to use the similar artists or recommendation features on Spotify.

Depends on my situation. If I'm at work, I'll turn on the radio after an album is done if I don't have time to find something. At home I just do the work to find something. It makes me happier. I keep a running list of things I need to check out on my computer. Once I listen to it, I erase the name and move on. Really helps me later on when I'm to tired to think.

I do this too. I have a "To Listen To" playlist on Spotify. Anytime I hear about something relevant to my interests I add it to the list. When I don't know what I want to listen to I put it on shuffle then check out whatever catches my ear.

Music listening at work got cut so I would take listening to anything. When I could listen to music, I would check out the new shit I would soundhound/shazam on the car ride in.

I'm pretty good about picking out what to listen to next, as long as I'm already listening to something. I make mental notes as I listen to an album of stuff that I want to hear next and the queue it up on spotify. sometimes I can fill me next few hours from the first couple tracks of something.
It's when I get home from work and I'm trying to think of something to play on the house stereo that is suitable for all the roommates that I really draw a blank.
Oh I keep lists of artists/albums I want to check out. No doubt. And when I don't want to hit that list, I love navigating through the related artists. When I am focused on something and an album ends, I don't even want to do those. I often don't even want to navigate to a new album by the same artist. But I do want music. I just press play again and hope that my brain is in a different place when it ends the next time!

I've had Yeezus as the CD in my car since it came out cause im waaay too lazy to change it. Plus I only listen to it when I have no data to run Spotify.

Just ate at a local Cuban street food place I love. Today the special was chicken mole hash with crispy yucca, a fried egg, and pickled onions. Man, it's so good. I remember the first time I ate here I had just quit smoking and it was a great aid because I didn't even want a cigarette afterwards. I just wanted the taste to linger as long as possible.

I do this with songs.
I'll put something on when I begin walking somewhere (or just doing something) and not change it until I get there.

This is just lazy. I bet you probably wear sandals in the winter, too.

This is me. The vast majority of new records I listen to I listen to just one time all the way through and could easily never pick it up again. I blame this partly on the abundance of cheap music we have access to via streaming services, and also on people from the internet suggesting albums (mostly people here, but also review sites etc). In the 90s I had to routinely make the painful decision to spend my allowance on either a new CD or two games of Q-Zar.

I blame this board for my listening habits as well. I listen to some much new music to keep up with album of the month/year. That takes up so much of my listening time that I don't listen to a lot of my old favorites.

I've started listening to podcasts in the car and at work (with headphones at work, lol) to get my mind off politics. Currently listening to My Dad Wrote a Porno and it is laugh out loud funny! It's a guy and his friends sitting around reading excerpts from his dad's erotic novel. It's freaking hilarious.

I love that podcast but some of it is so awkward I'm worried I will cringe my skeleton right out of my skin.

I can't even imagine how cringe-worthy it is to read your own father's erotic fantasies! It's way too funny, though. I'm only on S1E4 though, the cringe may intensify.
