I submitted an application for a rental house on July 5. The owner was on vacation at the time, so I didn't expect to hear back right away. On July 11, I e-mailed him to follow up. The same day, he responded, saying he was in Nashville until Thursday and would have a definite answer for me today. It's almost 3 his time now, and I still haven't heard from him. Do I send him another follow up today or wait until Monday? I don't want to be a pain, but I'd really like to have an answer so I can do my paperwork for the new job and schedule our moving stuff, and if I'm not going to get it, I need to start looking for something else ASAP.
I personally would follow up. I would explain that I am not trying to be pushy but that I have a deadline and if this place isn't available then I need to continue looking. But being overly aggressive has always worked for me and I have always gotten the place I wanted because the landlord figured I wouldn't go away. LOL

I would head over his house at about 3am and burn the place down.

After weighing this advice, I decided on the follow-up e-mail. (I mean, I don't know his address and am currently a 30-hour drive away, so it was really just a matter of practicality.)
Hunger update: Today at lunch i only ate HALF of my burrito, but then i brought the other half back to the office which i just ate. So I'm good to go now until my standard friday post meeting 9pm dinner with friends. Today I'm smart.

You should open a new thread, like "Postjack's Hunger Diary" or something similar to this.

A guy from my hometown Chattanooga is the guy who made this and the old trump emo videos. His name is Nick Lutsko and his own music is actually very good.

The local public radio station does a Sunday night blues show from 6pm til past my bedtime. It is quacking awesome. The DJ is a total blues head, throwing the backgrounds of the songs or curating sets of an artist/theme/style. I know blues is a really niche genre, but the music and the thought behind the "mixtape" is excellent. Classic blues going back to Robert Johnson all the way to more contemporary shiz.
And Sunday night blues is a great way to ease out of the weekend (especially when you're dutifully bound to not watch GoT tonight)
