I've always preferred Dr. Pepper over most soft drinks, but living in Austin for the past two years definitely spoiled me by having it EVERYWHERE. It was amazing.
I am honestly a little shook (I'm using that right, right? I know how the kids talk) being reminded that Dr. Pepper isn't everywhere.

It wasn't uncommon in Ohio, but it was definitely an exciting realisation every time I saw it a restaurant. It's getting better....
But here...... I have found one grocery store that has it. It is sold in single cans and costs $2.45/can.
I buy 4 every time I go to Woolie's and make that shit last as long as possible. One with dinner, every other to every two days. It's torture.

What's the difference between a cover letter and a personal statement? I need to write both for some internships apps and I have an idea for a personal statement but not a cover letter.
context: love boyf to death, and he's a good concert partner. we have a very similar taste in music but he leans more rap & hip hop and I lean more.... weird? lots of crossover though. but also lots of stuff that's unfamiliar to him. concerts tend to be me bringing him along because he's not quite as obsessed with live music as I am, but he's a good sport and we always have fun. ANYWAY.
I'm going to nicholas jaar tonight. also went last night. also went friday. tonight & friday will be solo. last night I went with my boyfriend.
last night: so I know nicholas jaar is super niche, which is why decided to solo-it for a couple shows. I had a feeling nico might be a bit too ~ambient noise~ for him, and warned him the first 10 minutes would just be weird industrial whirring, but it would get more ~lit w/beats~ after that. well, the entire show was wayyyyy more 'ambient' than I expected... it was disappointing because it was even borderline too much for me, but moreso because I felt bad for dragging andrew along. he had fun, especially during the really dance-y portions, but it was NOT his cup of tea, that's for sure.
POINT BEING: this reminded me why I love solo shows so much sometimes. nico jaar is a show you need to really let yourself immerse in to enjoy it, and I'm excited to be able to do that tonight without having to worry about whether or not andrew's like "what the actual fuck is this whirring noise on repeat"

I was at that show last night, solo, and I'm going again tomorrow night, with friends this time.
I get what you mean, and I've tried to convince a lot of friends to come to a show with me hoping they would enjoy as well. I was so disappointed (with their reactions) after a while that I stopped looking for anyone to go with me, and I basically tried to enjoy most of the shows by myself over the last few years.
Last night's show was super fun I think, (that's why I rushed to get another ticket for tomorrow) but at some points I wanted someone else to be there so that we can dance together. I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow night.
Anyway, have fun tonight. Yves Tumor's gonna be weird.
What's the difference between a cover letter and a personal statement? I need to write both for some internships apps and I have an idea for a personal statement but not a cover letter.
Personal statement: "I'm Slack and I'd like to do such in such in pursuit of my ultimate goal of this."
CV: "I'm Slack. I'm interested in this job and I think I'd bd great at it. My qualifications are this. I've done that. It's relevant to this. I'm interested in that and I think us working together can be mutually beneficial. Want to hang out and I'll tell you why? Call me!"
Really though just google for examples of both in a similar position to what your applying for. Make sure to repeat the buzzwords in the job posting back to them in your CV and cover letter. It may seem uncreative but it's what HR people look for (or so I've been told).

Also, it's super important you don't use a boilerplate cover letter. Write one separate for each position you apply for.
The fiance and I have had gym memberships for close to a month now, and I still go back & forth on if I prefer to crank it out in the morning or go in the evenings (all this pertaining to days I have to go into the office).
The advantage to going in the mornings is fairly obvious, when I leave work I have the whole afternoon/evening to do whatever. It's also quite the feeling of accomplishment getting in my jeep after work knowing I have completed a workout and my time in the office. It is though a pretty big hassle. Getting up an hour earlier then I have to, having to pack my work clothes and shower stuff, and I have to make a u-turn at a long/busy red-light (I can hit straight on if I coming from the office instead of my apartment). Going after work means I have more energy and don't have to watch the clock, but I always have a defeated feeling getting back to my apartment after 7 when I still need to make dinner, take a shower, and get in bed in a handful of hours.
For the most part it will always switch because of mine and Kelly's work schedule that week, but somewhat of a routine would be nice.

I love working out in the morning. great way to wake up and get a feeling of accomplishment first thing. Plus if I go in the morning I have to be finished by a certain time to not be late, so I am more focused on the workout than inforoo or something. Plus if I wait til the afternoon or evening it is too easy to come up with an excuse to skip it. Right now it is easy for e though because my gym is in the basement of the building where I work. We'll see how the routine changes when I start at the hospital in a week.

for me nothing is worse than hearing people say "these ones" or "those ones". it's these or those you fuckers. now just try not to hear everybody say it in the rest of your day
only works with multiple one dollar bills or while playing yahtzee

I saw today that a guy I went to high school with got arrested for "promoting prostitution" aka pimping today. Funny since I have been watching The Deuce.
