We have 3 bags of chips on the table. One is a knockoff bbq chips Winn Dixie bag. So I’m ignoring that. One is a Whole Foods organic sea salt bag. Its ingredients are organic potatoes, organic expeller* pressed sunflower seed, safflower seed and/or canola oil and sea salt. They taste like potato chips should and are way less greasy than some Lay’s.
Then we have flaming hot Cheetos. I don’t even know what half this shit is, and I don’t particularly like any of their flaming hot series chips. It tastes like fake heat or something. Ingredients?
Now I get the vitamins added to the meal, but wtf is all that other shit? Ingredients made from other ingredients sounds like a fucking science project. I don’t need that.
I didn't follow them that well but dug their music, so why is that?
Well known in the Chicago scene for years as sketchy dudes. Sexual predators and all that. That stuff just came into the wider light of day.
Didn't comment anymore last night but I read up on what people were saying in the comments on Facebook and yeah, fuck that. The music scene doesn't need toxic people like them. Thanks for the heads up tho.

Haha. No. Someone offered me the bag, and I was like what the fuck even is the heat source because they don't taste right. So that individual started trying to pronounce some of the things in there. We got that there were 4 artificial colors in the spice mixture and that they had some vitamins enriching the corn meal - though I don't know if any of that shows up in the "nutrition facts." I went into the kitchen and read the Whole Foods bag and was kind of stunned that it was potatoes, oil and chips. That's probably what it should be. So I figured, damn, that's pretty random that one bag of organic chips would have 3 ingredients whereas specific component parts of the Flamin' Hot series Cheetos had more than 3 ingredients. I'm not completely anti franken-foods provided everything is disclosed so I can make a valid decision whether I want that (or irradiated meat or whatever). I can choose to say no if I know wtf is in there.

Were you on mushrooms when you posted this jw
Probably.
I like how skim milk was the last item on there. Like we have thrown in all this other shit, lets try and make it look healthy.

well its gots "natural flavor" so that seems good.
Maltodextrin - This is Dextrin containing maltose. Wtff?
Sodium diacetate - Is NaH2 which is a salt of acetic acid used in seasonings and as a antimicrobial agent
disodium inositate - C10H11N4Na2O8P - This is a flavor enhancer used in conjunction with MSG
disodium guanylate - Disodium guanylate, also known as sodium 5'-guanylate and disodium 5'-guanylate, is a natural sodium salt of the flavor enhancing nucleotide guanosine monophosphate (GMP). Disodium guanylate is a food additive with the E number E627. It is commonly used in conjunction with glutamic acid
sodium caseinate - Sodium caseinate is the biochemical name for casein, which is a type of protein found in the milk from all mammals. Casein, which is Latin for “cheese,” is a major component of commercial cheese and its principle source of protein. Casein is also used as a food additive and for industrial purposes. Some people are allergic to sodium caseinate, and it has been linked to some human diseases, mainly autism and gastrointestinal problems. Consult with an allergy specialist if you suspect an allergy or intolerance to any casein-based products
It's a "flavour enhancer" used in processed foods like soups, chili, sauces, gravies, stews and some meat products like hot dogs. It's in some dips and snacks like potato chips and pretzels.
You'll also find it in some mass-produced vegetarian products made of soy.
Hydrolyzed Corn Protein - Hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP) is produced by boiling foods such as soy, corn, or wheat in hydrochloric acid and then neutralizing the solution with sodium hydroxide. The acid breaks down the protein in vegetables into their component amino acids.
House of Blues here has really good sound and I was listening to a non-local podcast where they had seen a show at that venue during NBA All Star Weekend and they remarked on how great it sounded. I was like "fuck yeah, it does".
I have said many things on that list and refuse to apologize for any of them.
The Beatles *are* overrated
I ran across this earlier and wasn’t sure what I thought. On the one hand, yeah. But then the revolutionary shit they did blazed a lot of trails for excellent shit that came later. I was super little when they were big so I missed that era for the most part. But the people a few years older than I who maybe had older brothers or sisters swore by the studio albums once they turned on. I think that started at Revolver. So for all the I wanna hold your hand and whatever, there was that, The White Album, Magical Mystety Tour, Sgt Peppers, Abbey Road and Let It Be. I think each of those albums is giant and stands on its own. Fuck, Umphreys covered Dear Prudence off the White Albim tonight. Aside was they also did a fn badass version of Eminence Front (threw in BoC and Fleetwood Mac teasers). But from the early era and liberating a lot of women to express emotion through the Maharajah and acid years later, they left a mark greater than anyone else in time so far for rock and roll. So while I definitely appreciate the sentiment that they are overrated, the later day shit should have removed all doubts as to what they were. JMO
