Hear, Hear! I was a fair-weather friend in 2010. I think I posted a couple of times after roo that year than disappeared until 2012 when I decided I had to go back to the farm. I was nervous about going it alone so I came back here for some advice. After that roo I came back here to reminisce about all the awesome and biznatch about the BFE quarantine. This time I've stuck around and really my life has been enriched by hanging out through the off season. Inforoosters have provided me with fantastic music recommendations, hanging out at casa de Whoreshack with a couple other inforoosters for Boomslang was absolutely one of my highlights for 2012. mayonaise provided me shelter and couch space during a rough patch and introduced me to Victory Sandwich Bar (when the hell are they gonna open that Decatur location already!?!?!) and I once again I had a fantastic time hanging out with a group of y'all.
So yeah, having been through two on seasons and now an off. Definitely think the off season is more interesting both in topics and people.

monkybunney !!!! The decatur location is OPEN!!! And it is delicious. I've been there 4 times already... it opened roughly 3 weeks ago. They have not done any advertising for it (hence still saying "opening soon" on the website), the owners kind of want it to be more "word of mouth." Fortunately for me, I know the owners via one degree of separation, and was notified of the availability of amazing sandwiches and paper planes via text that day.

GET THEE TO VICTORY!!
That sandwich still haunts my dreams. I can't wait to have another one.
I'm seeing Bonobo in Boston in a few weeks- it takes a lot for me to give up a shift and go to a show in NYC or Boston, so that says something! My vote is also Bonobo
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Last night's Bonnaroo dream was a version of the "I'm not ready" dream. For years, that dream took the form of me wondering how it got to be the day of the final and I hadn't done the reading, hadn't studied, hadn't even been to class lately, wasn't even sure where the final was.
More recently, it's been a work dream. In my case, I'm going to court and I don't know the facts of the case, don't know the law, don't know what issues are in dispute, etc.
In last night's version though, I'm at Bonnaroo (yeah!). But I don't know the lineup and don't even have a schedule to tell me who's playing where (boo!). And it's not one of those "just wander around and check stuff out" times of day. It's Friday or Saturday late night. Also, for reasons I can't explain, they moved Bonnaroo to an unfamiliar urban location.
First world problems, I know. But it was not a pleasant dream!
A Coldplay song came on the radio and my dogs started barking and growling.http://inforoo.com/post/new/26655 They are such good dogs that they even try to protect me from bad music.

^Dreams like that suck. I call them merged dreams: they seem incredibly realistic or just appropriate to what you are thinking about lately - and then BAM - all logic disappears. Random folk from the past or weird locations pop up where you felt safe and knew everything surrounding you.. Hopefully they aren't so lucid you wake up in a pure "wtf was that?!"

UNRELATED: I got my bjork-tu last night and absolutely looooooooooooooooove it! And the packaging was adorable. AND I freaking love your business cards!!! I'm totally keeping them with me at Coach, or anywhere else I wear your wares.
YIPEEEEEEEEEEE!! it was there a couple days early so that makes me happy and YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i sent you a handful to keep around. I've been considering installing biz card "pockets" in my tus, so you know, the wearer can just always have them around!!

A new friend introduced me to TED talks today. Was I the last person to know about this?
No, but you might be the last person: 1 with internet access 2 that's not a mouth breather 3 that hasn't seen the movie Prometheus to find out about TED talks.
Ha! Uhh maybe! I'll ask around. I didn't know about TED talks until I got a Roku and wide eye'd tried to turn all of my friends onto 'em. Turned out I was the last one to know about them.
Hey guess what team? If you wear high heels at a festival, or a skimpy dress, or wear PBR retro t-shirts, or were in a fraternity, or like to show off your manly chest, or are overweight, or wear glasses, or like Mumford and Sons over Radiohead, or think I'm a loser for still going to music festivals at my age - as long as you don't mess with me or my family or our ability to enjoy said festival - I DON'T CARE.
