My prescription sunglasses have shipped! I figured since I'm doing both Coachella and Bonnaroo this year it would be nice to actually be able to see during the day time (and my girlfriend is getting tired of my inability to read roadsigns when I drive).
I so need to do this. I wear contacts at Roo but I hate wearing them.
Yeah, contacts make me nauseous. Really can't beat Warby Parker's $150 rx sunglasses. Not totally crazy about their styles, but can't beat the price.

I did this last month for the exact same reason and my eyeballs have never been happier.

I almost major goofed. I didn't read the indication of "being a nag" and I almost posted, this is no place (or anywhere) for that word. Geez sorry. Random thought. Yes corn can be expensive, so be totally legit and grow the below. The 1/2 lb it shows is about $65!!!!. That's crazy but really good restaurants pay the price. Oh BTW, it's real fresh wasabi if you don't recognize it ...
Zenni Optical (zennioptical.com) if you guys need a cheap deal on prescription suns. They are so cheap they're insane. Hubby is blind as a bat and he got two pain, including a pair of transitions for under $100 bucks.

I got my regular glasses through Zenni. They were like $7 plus whatever shipping was (maybe $5? can't remember exactly).
I spent a lot of time over the past few days putting together a precise 180-song, 11-hour long playlist for Mrs. G. All mid to late 80s new wave and alternative dance music. Judging from the reaction, totally worth it.

I'm getting some prescription lenses put into a pair of old Costas I have, in large part because of Bonnaroo last year. Since it was my first year, I wasn't really sure what would work best so I had my contacts and glasses and some non-Rx sunglasses. I had to take my contacts out each day because all the dust was just killing my eyes with them in. And that's always gross in itself because your hands are gross no matter how much you clean them. After the fall, I really just started wearing my glasses a lot more than I used to, so I figured the best thing to do was have a pair of prescription sunglasses and then some normal ones so that I have options.

Yea it's nice to have both options. When I was a kid, glasses were looked on as yuck. Now they can and are considered cool. Hummm bad timing on my part ........

You grow that yourself? Locally sourced food is ALL the rage around these parts. I make a decent penny on the side selling organic gourmet mushrooms (trumpet, chanterelle, enoki, oyster) to chefs in my area. I'm attempting to grow Morels, those things are worth their weight in gold, crazy expensive, but I won't know until spring if I did it right. Fingers crossed.

Yeah odysseus! It's like they cut them off and left them on a busy road to get run over over and over again than reattached them. The dude the picture Dr. Joe put up has some pretty normal ears for a guy who's been in the fighting bizz for so long.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
My apologies if there's a thread for how folks listen to music online (there should be one, if there's not), but I couldn't find it - so...for those who listen to playlists on Songza, the Gorrila vs. Bear playlist is really nice for a sunny, Sunday afternoon.
