According to the whacko holding up the sign, I'm going to hell for seeing Eric Clapton. At least I'll have some good tunes.
Is it because of Tears In Heaven?
It's because people are crazy and feel the need to hold signs with bible verses outside of concerts and tell people what's going to happen in the afterlife..

I'm doing the Color Blast in Owensboro tomorrow with my daughter. Our outfits are fabulously ridiculous. I'm sure there will be plenty of pics to show off our silliness.

Well, people with that much free time should know.
Edit: Maybe they aren't really against the music, they just weren't able to get a ticket. Their real goal is to convince others not to go so that they can buy their tickets for cheap.

Do you live in Evansville? I used to spend all my summers in Owensboro.
I'm going for attending Bonnaroo, Elton John, Roger Waters, and being on 2nd Avenue on NYE. Those are the only times I remember seeing the loons.
According to the ones who used to post up on my college campus, I'm going for getting an education.
Me too. And because I wore jeans and not ankle-length skirts, I was on a one-way road to hell. Yes indeedy. Lower Alabama/Pensacola area is riddled with Bible-thumping lunatics on every street corner (and college campuses, because colleges have free-speech zones, so they were allowed to verbally accost us every day for getting a liberal education). Shudder, this all brings back bad memories.
I saw pretty much the same sign(s) in Austin on 6th St. during SxSW.
There's also "that guy" in Boston, the creepy old dude found outside most sporting events and major concerts in Boston and nearby areas. Wearing a sandwich board covered in hellfire images and holding out Bible tracts.
I've been traveling around for work and haven't had much time for music news. Today I look and find new album announcements for Deerhunter, Queens of the Stone Age, and Daft Punk! In the words of Ice Cube, it was a good day.

I live about 45 miles east of Evansville in the middle of nowhere. I'm only about 30 miles from Owensboro.
Ah, I just remember we used to go to Evansville to the drive-in sometimes.
The Holiday Drive-In in Reo? I love that place and it's still in operation today. Should open up for the season in about a month or so.
I think that was the place! It's been like 15 years since I've been there, but it was so fun.
Edit: I was going to say I wish there was a drive-in near here, but I just realized there is one about 40 minutes from here. I'm going to have to go sometime!

I'm a First Amendment guy, but I used to grit my teeth over this one hellfire-n-brimstone streetcorner preacher in Chattanooga who during Riverbend would call women whores and hold up a big placard with an aborted fetus pictured on it. Needless to say, he turned up each night a little more mangled than the night before...black eyes and whatnot. Probably got off on it, as in martyrdom. Probably also scared more people away from Jesus than he won over, I'm sure. Many are called; few are chosen. That one, though, was one of God's own lunatics.
Edit: I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that it was this dude right here:
