We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Thanks for the heads-up text, jerkstore.
Upon checking my text messages for the first time in hours, I recant (sort of). However, your text message was still a tad late, sir.

So, on the Facebook today, I had more than a few people changing their profile picture to or sharing some version of this.
Then, this pops up.
Happily I have not had that happen to me. I have decided that I am unfriending anyone posting in that vein, though.
As far as ChikFilA goes, I didn't like them before I knew about their founder's social agenda and I certainly have no desire to go there now. He has his right to take his stance but I'll exercise my right to respond in kind. (Different issue but that's also why I stopped my weekly Papa John's habit. Garlic butter can't take that bad taste from my mouth.)

It's a shame same sex marriage is such a big deal. I'm 100% for it, it's just insane that were even arguing about it. I usually get stupid posts that come up on my facebook, but my 1 buddy made a prett good one yesterday:
There is not a legitimate debate on this topic. The argument is between rational, equal human beings vs. the crazies who leave comments under youtube videos.
Being surprised by a Buckcherry advertisement on Spotify when your headphones' volume is pretty high is an awful way to start the day.
just a month or so ago, I went boarding in Vermont. It's a 9 hour drive from where I live. The entire time there and back, we were listening to Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, and Buckcherry. So just be glad you got 18 seconds of it, and not 18 hours.

Raq returning to the farm? My buddy went to a show of theres a few weeks back and said they hinted at returning to Bonnaroo 11 years later! They last played in 2002. I told him if he's lying i'll kill him. RAQ RULES!

You think that's bad? My sister posted a video about Jesus or something (I didn't watch it, just saw the thumbnail) and said, "This is what this week is really about. Not all the stupid nonsense going around today! Seriously!!!"

My mom "liked" it.
EDIT: As did about 25+ other people.
Oh, it's not bad at all. Including that one, I only had two people who posted something against gay marriage. Neither of which was inflammatory, so that was nice. One of Abra's friends (who is gay) said he had to delete two people because they chose yesterday to go on "hate-filled rants" about the subject. I am totally fine with people not agreeing with me on every subject, but everyone needs to keep it respectful. The term "hate-filled rants" makes me think they crossed a line or two.

As a general rule, I try not to get involved with religious or political discussions on Facebook, but my uncle (the preacher) was posting yesterday that it made him so sad to see so many people saying that what is wrong is right and what's right is wrong. I just couldn't let it go, so I had to comment. It actually was a civil exchange until he compared being gay to pedophilia.
The thing is, my aunt (the preacher's wife's sister) is a lesbian and no one in my family talks about it. She has lived with the same woman for over 20 years, but somehow it's like a secret that they are a couple. I don't think I have ever even seen them hug each other. Seriously, my sister, who was like 25 years old at the time and had lived with my aunt for a couple of years asked me once if our aunt was gay. It just makes me so freaking sad.

I got this from an article on Game of Thrones (link), and I knew this fact, but I had never seen it with the screencaps. Here goes the randos of Black Hawk Down.
Brian Van Holt (Bobby Cobb in Cougar Town)
Tom Hardy
Orlando Bloom
Ty Burrell (from Modern Family)
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister in Game Of Thrones)

You must be my long lost sister because my mother puts that shit up all the time
So the unexpected car repair came in under budget but still $1,300 dollars. The hubby and I sat down with the summer "camp" plans for the kids this weekend and I nearly cried. There are times that I wonder why I work. Summer is going to average $300 dollars a week for the two of them. There are times I think about getting a job in the school cafeteria or something so I could be on their schedule.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
My god, Kesha and Pitbull are touring together? That is my quacking nightmare!
If Obama does two things right in his terrible presidency, killing the Keystone XL project is one - and ordering a drone strike on opening night of this tour is the other.
And on the gay marriage thing: ran across this and it should make most good people out there sad. Half of it is purely not surprising. 14 is the only one who doesn't come across as completely stupid.
