Yeah I should just try them out before my time is wasted and I miss out on something else.
Quick question: Do you get like a schedule of performances or do you just show up and hope for the best?
I also suggest trying them out. I love the Avett Bros, and admittedly I think that's why I get so much out of their live shows. I would listen to "Emotionalism" first, followed by "I and Love and You". The former is a bit grittier if you like a rawer acoustic sound, where as "I&L&Y" begins the more polished pop-folk-ballady part of their career. Both have great harmonies. They play a mix of everything in their shows.
^This! The Avetts are one of my very favorites and they put on a really great show. What kind of music do you like, chubs? Listen to those two albums ^ at least, but personally I'd switch the order around. I think I and Love and You would be easier for a new listener to get into.

Just looked at the app to see how many people have liked The Wild Feathers and they are tied with Blackberry Smoke and Meshuggah and above Darkside. I think it's pretty awesome that a bad that's third from last on the lineup is so popular. It goes to show exactly what festivals do for bands like this. Spreads their name all over the world. If you haven't heard them you should check them out. Seems like it would be a good show.

I saw them at a fest last year and had a lot of fun at their set even though I didn't know anything going into the show. Talked to them for a bit afterwards and they were awesome. They gave me a copy of their album (which was set to drop the next week). It was pretty interesting. They had 2 discs/sleeves that you tore apart. One of the discs was for you and the other was labeled "to share". They played in Madison last weekend but I couldn't find anyone to make the trek with me to go see em again.

I'm pretty excited for their show. I just looked up a video of them playing Backwoods Company for last fm and they looked like they were having a blast and they sounded very good.
Edit: the two disc idea is pretty cool. Damn good way to spread your name.

Edit: I totally misread your question about scheduling. I thought you were asking if I personally scheduled out what bands I want to see. Oh well lol.
As far as scheduling goes, I tend to plan everything out ahead of time, though my first year I very quickly learned that that doesn't always pan out. At nighttime when the fest really comes alive, I found it fun to just wander and find some open space to dance in. Generally though I like to know who I'm going to see ahead of time because I get the most out of concerts when I know a lot of the songs. I spend the months before Roo really delving into newly discovered artists just for that purpose.
From what I'm seeing I just got to learn how to go with the flow.....which will be kinda hard seeing that I'm so anal about having a plan.
Hey Madeline ! I'm more into hip-hop/rap music and know a few bands (and by few I mean 3) but I'm hoping to find a couple of new artists to listen too.
Day two without caffeine is not going well, and it's not even 8:30AM.
The first couple of days are really the worst. Every time I have gotten off of it, I have had to endure a 2 day headache which is no fun at all. Once I got past that though, it is pretty clear sailing.
It has come up way back when TB first conceptualized it, but not recently since there has been an official date. All those waffle sandwiches filling up my FB look horrendous.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Yeah, those waffle products look gross. I am all about the am taco and breakfast burrito! I have high hopes about this development.

Its totally worth it but yes the headaches I get from caffeine withdrawal are horrible.
It started off as a joke, but now whenever I see "Deadmau5", my brain automatically pronounces it exclusively as dead-mou-five.
I've always done that with bands who have numbers in their name. Don't put a damn number in there to represent a letter. Use a letter you lazy SOB. Otherwise, I want to say the number, and it makes your name sound stupid.

I love waffles... but waffles + Taco Bell scare me.

QFT
I used to think that QFT meant "Quit Fuckin' Talking". Thank god for context and Google.

The museum I work at has a dress code for employees that encounter visitors. You have to wear 90% black. Normally I don't mind, but as were smack dab in the doldrums of winter I need anything to help perk me up, the black just ain't doin' it.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Do you people not use urban dictionary?! I'm not very hip to the hop with sayings so I always go there to find out stuff like "QTF" or "FTW"
My laziness knows no depths...mainly 'cause finding out about depths would be work. Plus, I'm suuuuperold, so the idea of looking stuff up on the internet doesn't come to me automatically.
I am embarrassed to admit how long I didn't know what the slang word 'whip' meant, despite the context being clear in songs (in hindsight).

I've thought about looking stuff up, but at the end of the day, it doesn't hurt anyone/thing that I'm unaware of the actual meaning. Plus, I think it's WAY more entertaining to make stuff up (yes, I'm easily amused).
