Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Do you really need a whole seminar though? Just give them a WWBD braclet and tell them to always do the opposite. They will be in the 30s in no time.
Remember that I actually wasn't that much lower than you. Luckily, that B could work either way. Let's get those things ordered!
If I remember right, there were four groups which people fell in. One was in the 20s and low 30s. Then there were a bunch from like 42-57. Then there was a handful in the 69-79 range. And then Bacon.
There was a discussion on the Firefly Facebook page about how apparently it's a big faux pas to wear a shirt of the performing artist to that artist's concert. Is this really a thing? I've never heard of this before, and I think it's silly.

Is that even a movie people know anymore? Regardless, I see people do this all the time, so it can't be that big of a social norm.
I was never bothered by people wearing band shirts to shows. I do know it was a "thing" because of PCU where people I knew or was friends with would use that line and act superior to others. I didn't wear a band shirt to their show for a while because I just didn't want to be made fun of. Now I really don't give a shit.

I'd guess you're in the 70s group.
Hmm you're right! I had no idea what my score was, so I had to go back and find it:
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I don't do it. Also, I usually don't listen to the artist on the way to/way back from the show.

I do both of this things, but not on the way back. Usually I give my ears a break.
I've never heard that you shouldn't wear shirts of an artist at their performance. That's asinine. Next time I go to a Sabres game I'm going to wear my Chargers jersey.

It's not a sporting event, it's a concert. Everyone knows you're there to see TOOL (I use this example because this is where I think I see it the most).

But like a sports team I support, spend money, and enjoy what I'm going to see. If I spend money on my merch that show I support them I'm going to wear it because I'm passionate about it.

Is it better or worse if the shirt is autographed? Also what if its the shirt for the opening act. Just wondering never heard of that either. But I agree I won't listen to the band the day of the show.

It's no really a big deal, but I will make fun of those people a little bit. I think tailgating for hours listening to the band you're about to see and then blasting as loud as possible as you leave is the bigger crime.

Ok guys, I'm 73.6%... that's like nun status compared to some of you!
I got 64.4%, and I don't think I've done that much stuff. Did most people take the 500 question one? It seemed like quite a few of the pretty basic questions repeated on that, so it seemed kinda . . . inaccurate (which I hesitate to say because it seems incredibly dumb to even be suggesting that an online purity test might be "accurate").

*Hehe you loser. You spent money on a shirt because you like this band and then wore it to their concert*
I guess I just fail to see the gaffe

I actually own a copy of that movie. I pull it out and watch it from time to time when I feel like reminding myself how obnoxious Jeremy Piven is.

Everyone at the show likes the band, does it mean you should all dress the same?

the last time i saw this movie was when I was trying to calm down after eating too much mushroom pizza.

I have no problem with either of them. Sometimes I listen to a band on the way to a show because I want to refresh myself on some of the tracks that I don't listen to as often. I like to put an artist on shuffle and then when I hear a song I haven't heard in a while it hypes me up about possibly seeing it at the show. I like it because the show is almost always better than the album so listening to stuff just hypes me up more for the show. I don't mind if other people choose not to do it but I find it annoying when others try to chastise people for choosing to do it.

Wearing the t-shirt of the band your going to see is fine (obviously), but some times people really give off a, ahem, pretentious douchebag vibe when they're wearing t-shirt from one of the band's tours 20 years ago and is ugly as shit and clearly only being worn to show that "they were there."

I have a ratty old t-shirt from a Grateful Dead show in the early 80s that my daughter "borrowed" 5 years ago when she went off to college. Now she wants to frame it and give it back to me. I appreciate the thought. There's nothing quite like sharing a love of music with your kids (although they never got into the whole Dead thing). But what ima gonna do with a framed t-shirt?

my wife raided my old tshirt drawer and took out a bunch of the oldest and most threadbare and most embarassing-to-be-seen-in-public-with shirts and gave them to my mom who made it into a quilt. its nice because a lot of the shirts have some cool memories (band/tour shirts, old soccer tournaments, etc) and now theyve been sewn onto some fleece to be somewhat more preserved, but still useful. I have no idea what I would do with a framed t shirt.

Hang it up in the back of your pickup truck, next to your shotgun.
