First time listening to Simian Mobile Disco. Listened to their songs that weren't on this album from their Spotify Top Ten and liked 'em, so I figured why the heck not.
From someone who has been listening to SMD for years and years now: Check out Attack Decay Sustain Release and their Live album from last year. Personally I think the real test is listening to and truly enjoying their Live in Japan from 2008. I know there are a few other members here that'll probably have distinct opinions about this as well. That album is fucking madness tho; it's so satisfying. Pre-Whorl is a way different duo. It somehow makes Whorl so goddamn good and all of their previous stuff contextually so much better.
Thanks for the advice dude. I like Whorl so I'll probably listen to the albums you suggested next.
Ready for the new album, much more of a Person Pitch then Tomboy feel to this and the stuff I've seen live. Which is VERY good to my ears. For me, Person Pitch>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tomboy.
Many thanks. I wanted to know what a group called Superfood sounded like.
And what is distinctive about the Birmingham sound?
Well I guess "Birmingham sound" isn't the right term since that's more closely associated with techno. Birmingham Britpop was like Charlatans, Ocean Colour Scene, Fine Young Cannibals all coming out of there in the 90s.
