You even forgot Nick Cave, James Blake and Cohen haha.. But yes, looking back at 2017 it felt like there were almost none 'classics' worthy albums. And in 2016, I felt like we're still gonna listen/talk about Blonde, Blackstar, TLOP etc for a long time. Though there are some contenders ofcourse, but not as much as in 2016.
Will probably be viewed as the best musical year of the decade.
Beyonce, Solange, Chance, Frank, and Bon Iver's records are all basically modern classics
Kanye, Radiohead, Bowie, ATCQ, and Rihanna all turned in excellent albums
Not to mention the smaller names like Angel Olsen, Mitski, Anderson Paak, Danny Brown, Kaytranada, Car Seat Headrest, etc.
Yep.
It is no coincidence that I was much much more active on this site in 2016 (and definitely 2015) compared to last year. There just wasn't *that* much music that really got me going in 2017.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
