This show at Shaky Knees converted me. I stood in the rain for 15 minutes rather than going to get my raincoat because I couldn't look away from the awesome.
Fuckin right! Whenever I see them live there's usually a 2-3 song stretch where I'm hypnotized and everything else around me is blocked out, but the first time I saw them live that feeling lasted the entire show. It was magical.
Niiiice! One of my favorite albums/bands of all time!
Definitely the best Shiner album. Fucking incredible live back in the day!
I was only 16 when they were touring.. and they stopped thru my small city and played when they were touring The Egg. A friend of mine that was 18, and good friends with the bar owners let me in. Gerkin is SICK on the drums man.. It was actually being introduced to Shiner, Failure, Houston, & Hum that changed my musical perspective.. from there I discovered Autolux, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Octopus Project, Animal Collective, and it just went on from there. So glad I found Shiner and all those good bands back then, they guided me in the right musical direction.
