This album messed with my head more than any other album this year. And that includes Clear Moon. Every time I've "got it" with this record, he changes things up and goes a different way. I feel like I'm chasing him through the record and it's a lot of fun. I might be the only one to put this bad boy in their best of list.

And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
I was introduced to their music a week before seeing them live, touring that record, in April of '03. I was already coming down to Minneapolis to see The Polyphonic Spree, who was playing earlier in the day at a different club. Also, in the early afternoon both groups played free shows at a record store. (Yes, the Polyphonic Spree at a record store. Tim and most of the instruments where along the back wall with the choir singers lined up along record aisles to each side of the band.) Two bands, not touring together, twice in one day in downtown Minneapolis. It was a good day.
