bishop,I really want your opinion that Hey Colossus album. It is not exactly typical Bishop listening, but I have feeling it may hit a sweet spot. It's a fairly dark record.
I've never heard any of it, but it'll be top listening priority since you specifically pointed it out. "typical Bishop listening", lol.
I can see it more from your Swans angle than your rivethead angle.
I'm curious, what is your take on punk, garage, pysch, and metal (Hey Colossus is not of the those, BTW)? I don't ever see you listening to that stuff (besides Wire).
If you count post-punk, that's a vast majority of the 80s stuff I post. I mean, I like it all... it's just specific qualities that aren't very easily described in words that makes me attach to certain things. I don't know what you mean, really. I mean, I would like to say I like most types of music... I don't know what to say, I'm obviously into psychedelic music, and I like some metal, and I like some garage, and I absolutely love some post punk. 90s and up "punk", it takes more to really grab my attention. Metal is stale and often generic, but the stuff I like, I really like. I really don't know how to answer you... gotta be more specific for me.
