feel like a total n00b for asking, but how does one see how many posts they have in a certain thread?
It's like black magic (or just click the replies button).
There is a reply button up top and one at the bottom that brings me to the post editor page, but I see nothing relative to this black magic. Didn't see anything in my profile info either.

Go to "Recent Threads" and then under the "Replies" column you'll notice all the #'s in that column are actually links. Click on the one for this thread and you'll get a list to scroll through.

No - just click Recent Threads. Then find it under the Subject line with all the other recent thread titles. Look to the right - there will be a Created By and a Replies. Click on Replies. It will show you all participants of the thread and how many times they've posted in descending order of # of posts.
