I think Shane is going to end up going the same way he goes in the comic.
**SPOILER**
maybe not at the hand of Carl, but after this week's episode, I'm thinking in the season finale he tries to take Rick in the woods to do him in but is killed himself instead. (either by Rick or zombie).

I thought they tried to do that in S1 but was broke. May have just been a CB though.
I think it will just be a goof with Shane. He could have cleaned it off the first time. But yea he should already been dead by now if we follow books, I do not think they are following these very close. Too much is already different.
Shane has a free trip to hell coming, but it will be interesting to see how it happens.
My biggest problem with the show is the people who complain about it being too boring. I really like the direction the show has had, being slower and more dramatic and all. I mean, you can only kill so many zombies before it gets old.
Anywho, here's what I am looking forward to: (NOT REALLY SPOILERS, JUST WHAT I THINK WILL HAPPEN)
Shane going byebye Merle returns War at the farm the prison the Governor

I think you are pretty close, but I would say more like this:
Shanes dies War at Farm Go to the Prison Merle returns AS the governor (remember the lost hand?)

Not to be a party pooper but they've had recent reports about an actor being cast as the Governor so I doubt it's Merle (though I did think that's the way they were going to go originally).
Definitely think Shane will go bye bye. He's looking at a new TV show soon (the actor who plays him anyway). I'm just wondering how it goes down. Dying to find out more about the people who Randall was with.

It's not so much that the show is boring, but that there is just so much pointless, insignificant sh*t happening that makes this zombie apocalypse uninteresting.
I watch this show every sunday with my brother, and last sunday we laughed when they showed us the "last time on walking dead" montage, because it ONLY showed us the Rick, Glenn, Herschel stuff from the first 20 minutes of the previous episode, meaning the other half of the episode on the farm was supposedly unimportant and just filler.
One of the most important rules of storytelling, whether its a movie, novel, short story, or tv series; is that you have to pace the story to sustain interest. If you do not, people will call it boring and lose interest. Lots of amateur writers/story tellers, when they realize their story or plot is paper thin, try to "fix" this by adding in mindless action scenes to create suspense. (see: every Michael Bay film or the second half of Lost Season 6)
Another important rule of storytelling, is having interesting, complex characters that the audience can relate to. Every show should have at least that one character that people love to talk about, that builds hype and gets an audience to tune in to watch everyweek. With Game of Thrones it's Tyrion Lannister. With Breaking Bad it's like everyone! (Walt, Saul Goodman, Gus), with The Wire it was Omar Little, (and others I'm sure). Who is that character in Walking Dead? Shane? certainly not since most people here want him dead.
Season 1 did a pretty god job under Frank Darabont. Whether you like him or not, the guy had a good resume for this kind of show, But AMC firing him, IDK why but the show has suffered since.
Season 2 was just a huge drag for the first 7 episodes. The first three episodes back from the break have been a huge improvement, but the flaws are still there. But I am confident when they leave the farm and this beloved 'Governor' character makes his appearance that this show will pick up big time.

That was my exact theory after season 1 too (merle - governor)
Another thing, I really want to know what Jerner whispered to rick at the end of season one. I think i know, but I don't really know for sure.

Boo that sucks!!! I really wanted my prediction to be right.
Same here. I've been waiting for Merle to come back anyway and it would have been cool if he was now in charge of a group and had this hatred towards Rick and the rest of the group.

I'm 99% sure what it was and it's info you can get from the comics ( I haven't read the comics but have read ABOUT them online ). A scene in the last episode hints towards it a tiny bit.

I think we are on the same page, but I will resist saying anything, to keep from spoiling anyone else's surprise.

I couldn't agree more, I was extraordinarily happy to see Frank Darabont doing the show just because of his attention to detail, he's a bit of a perfectionist and I appreciate that. I definitely think the show is suffering without him.
As much as I like the graphic novel, zombie movies and stories of survival in general I just can't watch this show multiple times, I get bored.....I'm fine watching it the first time, but then I have no desire to see it again... Is that a flaw with the pacing of the show? maybe. Is it a cast of characters that are for the most part entirely unlikeable? it's a possibility.
I do think it's funny that the most well liked characters on the show don't even exist in the graphic novels. Hands down anytime you ask someone who they like the most it is Meryl or Daryl......sometimes Glen....I don't think anyone could hate Glen
SPOILERS....sorta...not really though....whatever, just don't get mad at me...
For a moment in this last episode, I thought that guy they captured was going to morph into the Governor. Rick and Shane were caught up in their bickering & they just left him tied up with loads of zombies lingering about. Perhaps, I thought, he would lose a hand in an attempt to escape, perhaps he will resent these two, become a little cold hearted maybe. I mean if I were in that situation and got away, I would be pretty pissed...
But then Rick went and saved him....there went that short lived theory.
But wait! I still think it's a possibility, did you guys see the preview for next week? They are torturing the kid, that's Governor making material if I ever saw it...

Wait just a second, I've read the graphic novels and have seen all the episodes and I cannot say I am 99% I know what was said between scientist man and Rick(unless I did know and just forgot) I mean, I assume I know what was said because it seemed obvious....but was I wrong? is it not obvious? I MUST KNOW! One of you, PM me!

Same here maybe I am clueless but I have no idea at all.
