I'm currently drinking El Salvidorian La Montanita Pacamara. It wasn't till recently that people didn't snub El Salvidorian coffees due to political climate. You could find it .. but it thrash beans.
If you are lucky enough to live near a Starbucks that features a Clover, drink that everyday. I'm hooked. Regular coffee tastes terrible to me.
This is new to me. I'm not a fan of Starbucks this is intriguing. That brewing system sounds insane.
I have always been a brew-at-home guy. I would do regular, cheap ground coffee during the week, and fresh ground beans on the weekends. I'd grab a Starbucks every now and again, when I was out somewhere, or if I wanted some ridiculous coffee drink. Ever since starting on the Clover last spring, that's all I drink on the weekends. I look forward to it in a slightly creepy way - I even wake up early on Saturday and/or Sunday to make sure that there isn't a crazy line at Starbucks, just so I don't have to sit there and wait.
I drink $1 large coffee's from my Afghanistan buddies on the corner by my building. I think the secret ingredient is sweat from the old man that drips off into his giant coffee pots.
Sometimes we get super-cool movie-themed cups! I'm guessing they get them for free, because it's always a movie that came out at least 2 years earlier.
So I just used a french press for the first time and it's pretty great. It's like I'm in flavor country.
First time I had coffee from a french press was in Mexico and then again at the Moogcabin. It looked much more complicated than it actually was to operate. It taste so much better, hopefully I'll get one this Christmas.
I haven't had it yet but I'm intrigued by the El Salvador Kilimanjaro. "Aromas of strawberry and graham melt into flavors of high percentage cacao, black cherry and strawberry surrounded by a creamy, buttery texture in this cup."

Gah. In order to save money till summer we are on a $200 a month grocery budget. I have to try and feed 2 people for a month on limited funds.
It won't be the first time I had to give up decent coffee, but damn does it suck.
GL, do you guys have Aldi stores up there? If so, I would recommend checking out their products and their coffee. Their German coffee is really not bad for $5! (they also have other fantastic products, including one of the best frozen pizzas I have ever eaten)

The only thing I will say is read up on the rules of ALDI first. 1) Bring your own bags. 2) Bring a quarter for the shopping carts. You get it back. Don't worry. 3) No credit cards. No checks. No exceptions.
Nah. I wish we did. I've been to a few and it wasn't great but a lot better than what I have right now. I may have to call in some favors to some old friends, here in town.
Right now, I'll be drinking Great Value until we head out on trips. I'm 3/4 way thru pot one now and I'm STILL not coherent and have a test due by 12.
It's not strange at all. Coffee is such a personal taste. Finding someone that roasts the way YOU like it is important. Aldi isn't bad, I've just never found any that was dark enough for me.
