I also cannot do shots of alcohol. Physically. Whatever I drink, whether it's water or alcohol or whatever (insert joke here), I have to hold it in my mouth for a few seconds before swallowing it. I have no idea how to just "pour" something down my throat because if I try to, I barf. I'm pretty sure it's an instinctual thing, I have to taste it first.
So yeah, if you ever hear me say I don't do shots, now you know why.

I also cannot go to sleep if my feet are cold. But I also can't sleep if I get too warm so I go to sleep with socks on and then take them off in the middle of the night.....
The idea of eating any kind of food off the bone, or out of a shell, totally grosses me out.
Loud eaters or people who chew with their mouth open or chomp gum - it bothers me so much that I will say something.
I hate anything with strawberry flavor or smell.
When I get ready for work in the morning, I do every single thing in order, brushing my teeth, make-up, hair, let the dogs out, feed the dogs, take my meds, etc. I never change that routine.....
Being late, causes me huge anxiety. Even if it's not important that I am on time, I still totally stress out.

I am the same way with peaches. I remember, when I was in high school, I put a peach hard candy in my mouth thinking it was orange. I gagged so hard I almost threw up.
I cannot be late to anything. I usually get to work 15-20 minutes early. When I was job hunting, I repeatedly had to sit in the car before interviews because I was too early for the appointment.
Also, if you're a guy and you have a weak handshake, I automatically distrust you.
I don't really eat raw food. I have been able to work myself up to medium/medium rare steak, sushi (no cucumber!), pico de gallo, a little bit of baby spinach and shredded carrots, and sometimes tomato and onion on my sandwiches. I've never been able to eat a salad and will not eat lettuce on anything.

I rub my feet together at night to fall asleep most of the time. I hate to go to bed with dirty feet. I wash my hands a lot especially when I'm cooking. As far as annoying things I cannot stand to go out with a friends to eat and they tip poorly. It infuriates me and I usually end up saying something to them. I don't cry often but when I do it's usually because I'm mad, not sad. Which makes people baby me and pisses me off even more which leads to more crying. I take on the mannerisms or tone of the characters in whatever book I'm reading.
I talk to myself. My 4th grade math teacher called my out once, I told her I was singing to myself. Everyone up there seems to be on the same page, but every so often their will be a different opinion/voice and we talk it out. I also think out situations in my head. If I am anxious about some thing, I will run that through my head multiple times over and over. Girls make me do this a lot. I must have thought about speaking at brunch a 1000 times last year before it happened, then it happens nothing like I was thinking.

I have a routine as well. Always the same.
It drives me insane when someone leaves the kitchen cabinets open. I'm picky about the kitchen in general. If someone puts up dishes for me they never put them in the right place and I move them all.
All the shoes in my closet are toes pointed out. All like items are hung together; short sleeves, long sleeves, dresses, jackets, etc. all beside each other. At least I don't organize them by color.
I also have a tendency to sometimes talk to myself and not realize which gets weird looks
I do this all the time. It helps me remember stuff if I say it out loud. In NY you won't get stared at unless you have no shoes on and are doing it at the loudest possible volume in the middle of a sidewalk/street.
Oh, and I realize people make a grammar mistake here and there, but the there/their/they're, your/you're thing drives me nuts. Also when people send me emails that use "a" instead of "an". I work in construction, so some of my trades send me emails that are bordering on a different language.

Haha. When I worked at the rehab, I was theoretically working with people who had attended college to some degree and had some idea about what psychology was. You could not tell it from what they charted.
And when other people are late it drives me insane.
I'm the same way. I get a bit anxious when I know the time is approaching to be somewhere. Unfortunate since I have have yoked myself to the least punctual person I know.
Alright, so NoD is uber OCD and JHo is just strange. And note to self: titan grip MD and DTree while shaking their hands.
Who is DTree again?
As for me: I have my odd quirks, mostly related to the whole high functioning autism thing and related sensory issues. I need space, and hate loud noises. When I'm at shows, I'm typically in the back of the room and away from crowds and speakers. I would yell at people for having their car radios too loud and heavy on the thumping bass.
And nobody under the age of 10 should use the word "yum" in any context.
Another one of mine: I can't stand the sound of Styrofoam. I have to leave the room if someone is handling styrofoam. If it's in a box, someone else has to take it out for me.
This. Except I usually just grit and bear the hell of removing styrofoam from a box.
A few summers ago i worked in a warehouse and had to assemble cardboard boxes. The sound of cardboard scraping against cardboard is unbearable to my ears. I get goosebumps and my hair stands up.
I also am a teeny bit scared of mascots, with those giant heads and costumes. I can look at them, but they cannot come near me or touch me. If they do, I go ballistic.
I hate being late, but I hate being too early also.
Example: I have to be at work for 6:30.
I leave my house at 5:50, and it takes like 25 minutes to get there. I try and pull in the parking lot at 6:15, so I can get through security and in the front door to clock in at 6:22. I don't like being there earlier than 6:15, or later than 6:25.
I'm findin' many other things in common with y'all here! - Bein' early to things, especially work is very important to me. My first boss at the age of 15 told me: "If you're on time, you're late. If you're early, you're on time." I've tried to live by that ever since. - Not a big fan of the sound of styrofoam or cardboard either, but I can get through it. - I am also really particular about grammar on the internet. Ever since I first started chattin' (wayyy back in the ICQ days) and postin' on message boards if I've had a question on spellin' or grammar I will look it up online to check it out.
