I'm really exploring every avenue here, but I just discovered that that there are six different kinds of quarks, known as flavors: up, down, strange, charm, bottom, and top. Does that set anything off in anyones mind grapes?
Jared Leto, the lead singer - Coeus is the Titan of Intelligence and father of Leto. Mars is also a large corporation that produces various candies, which can be crunchy and have various flavors (these include M&Ms, Snickers, and Skittles).

I just posted the same guess on the Lollapalooza Messageboard 20 minutes ago. Sounds good to me.

Hear me out: Should we be looking at artists related to The Clash? "Clash Of The Titans?"
Mick Jones of the Clash is in Big Audio Dynamite, who are known according to wiki for their "varied musical styes, incorporating elements of punk rock, dance music, hip hop, reggae, and funk." (flavor? just taking a shot)
This is just a jumping off point. But still, there is a lot of exploring to be done on The Clash here.

It would be one band out of a hundred. Can't see them all. The only instance I get upset when seeing a band on the lineup I don't like is when they are a headliner.
i can see how 30 seconds fits the flavor thing with mars candy. but i think the first part about titans is a huge stretch. i dont think its as hard as we are making it

I'm not so sure it is a stretch. Leto is a very famous Titan. She coupled with Zeus to create Apollo and Artemis.

i would hope that this clue is to a really big name being as most other big festies have just come out with their lineups. i want something big to string me along till the main announcment
Only if you think they would be billed higher than Styx. Otherwise, any one artist makes no difference to me as long as they don't take a spot from a "big get" type band.

The biggest act we got from this last year was Beirut at #26.

I think the Chili Peppers is unfortunately the best answer we have so far, but I would be surprised if they were giving away headliners in the clues. 30 Seconds to Mars is solid.

id imagine that 30 seconds to mars would be pretty high on the bill. i dont like them, but they are a pretty big name.

crunchy M&Ms were discontinued... lol
anyway this: In the most classic and well known version of Greek mythology, Cronus or Kronos[1] (Ancient Greek: Κρόνος, Krónos) was the leader and the youngest of the first generation of Titans
Kronos quartet. it isnt just Cronus. sure Kornos Quartet doesnt satisfy the second part of the clue, but they often play WITH other acts.
