Umphrey's HAS to be LN...saw them back in September at a tiny little festivalup in the Catskills and it was awesome. The energy is non-stop, and they have a KILLER light show.
i feel like at this point its a given. they've hinted at a good time slot on their Facebook and postjack's friends claim it might be a 2am set only adds to the fact. also, as its been said SEVERAL times in this thread in other threads. BOUT DAMN TIME. so bummed i'm going to miss it.
since their set starts at 2am, i'm just expecting them to do a non stop 3 hour set like bisco did in 2008. if it was a 1am or even a 1:30am set, I'd say it'd be more likely for 2 sets with a setbreak-segue with another band.
The Umphreys Flylo conflict is killin' me. I have seen UM a few times so I will be starting off at flylo and hopefully catching the end of the UM set. How long after flylos set is over do you think UM will play? Im hoping ill be dancing at sunrise.

i'm in the exact same boat... it's gonna suck having to miss a late night um show at roo but flylo is a show i simply cannot miss.
here's hoping that technical difficulties delay umphrey's for an hour.
just a random thought.... who do yall think will draw a bigger crowd? i figure umphrey's ln will draw a huge crowd, but with flylo being the only ln edm other than major lazer and skrillex i could see his set being really crowded. what do yall think?
It's like, if I hand you a sandwich and am all "hey man, have a bit of this delicious ham sandwich," and then you take a bite and hand it back and are all "I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a turkey sandwich," you'd be insane

Ugh....I was supposed to see UM a couple months ago, but didn't have a ride. Given the fact that I knew they would be at bonnaroo though I didn't sweat it.
And then they got put in the same time slot as fucking Flying Lotus. -____-
The only act I want to see more than Flylo this year is Radiohead. Major bummer.
Here's to the 4 hour set. I'd love this. Even if I was on the outskirts of the tent, I don't care.

I think the flylo crowd will be huge. He really never tours much outside of california, and is the leader of one of the fastest growing indie labels in the country.
Although, I wouldn't really classify him as "edm". More like psychedelic jazz hip hop something or another.

i meant edm in its simplest meaning. your description is certainly more accurate but flylo definitely plays "electronic dance music" if i had to use my own words, id say flylo plays "acid-jazz trip-hop chill-step idm" or some dumb poop like that. genres are stupid.

this is exactly what i was afraid of. i was hoping everyone would say otherwise. poop.

his crowd will definitely be huge. i think it will end up like bassnectars set last year.
i really wanted to see umphrees, but im want to see flylo more, and i have a feeling that both will end around the same time, so this is probably my biggest conflict this year
i have a feeling that both will end around the same time
on the schedule UM plays for a half hour longer than flylo, and i think its a good bet that UM plays for longer than they are scheduled. correct me if im wrong but i feel like almost every late night theres at least one act that plays longer than they are scheduled (and i do not think flylo or big freedia will go over their allotted times)

They're touring on "Death By Stereo" right now, it's a phenomenal album. I also recommend listening to their "Hall Of Fame: Class Of 2010" live album. I'l see ya at the show!
I can pretty much guarantee this is going to happen. Umphrey's and moe. have historically alternated between crappy day sets one year to epic LN sets the next. Last time UM was there they played at 1 PM on Saturday. Mark my words, the sun will rise on UM's set this year.

Excellent! Can get a good-sized show without missing Dumpstaphunk
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
Can anyone suggest which albums I should get/listen to to get more acclamated with them. The only album I have is Death By Stereo and know it pretty well. I have gone back and looked at set lists and they don't seem to play to much off this album.
I'll definitely enjoy the show no matter what, but I'm not sure if I can stay until 6 am without being a little more familiar with more of their music.
