"A new label called Atmophile Electronics will put out its first release on September 15th.
The German label will kick off with Fundamentum, an eight-track compilation that features new tracks from Matrixxman, Polar Inertia, Mike Parker and Japanese producer Takaaki Itoh. Atmophile cofounder Ankurbln contributes a tune along with an ambient intro made with the other label founder, Naty Seres, while Berlin's Sofus Forsberg offers up an IDM-influenced number. The compilation is rounded off by another Berlin producer, Alderson Disk, who is said to be an established bass music artist operating under a new name."
And garageland, I cannot help with Bill Kouligas, but he's playing Hopscotch and Club to Club (the best electronic music festival this year IMO), so I assume he should be good. I'll try to look into it later today, and give a report.

Re: Now Playing
Awesome. I'll put it on the list tonight after the kids go down. He's playing before Blanck Mass so I have a good idea what I'd be getting in to.
I haven't actually listened to Damian Lazarus, but I've heard of him and he's playing for free at a club I've been wanting to check out so I'll be seeing him on Friday night.

I'm looking forward to the lindstrom album but this track doesn't do much for me. It's incredibly generic.

Damn, I love Lindstrom but this is super underwhelming.

Also, been listening to older Richie Hawtin tracks and damn he used to put out amazing stuff. Makes me a bit sad he's softened a bit as of late, but he seemed to be near top-form for his Close Coachella set this year.
Also, some good news: HNNY is coming back! He releases a new EP on September 15. May be of interest, gorblata.

Compared to the first two singles, I didn't like this much after first listen TBH.
I really want to see that Close set one day, who knows, maybe I can convince myself for III Points...

That first sentence poked fun at your Front Bottoms link
But I love this new single. The lead vocal had me a bit worried it'd be a bit generic, but the track evolves into this really uplifting banger.
I thought the CLOSE set was spectacular, and this coming from someone who hasn't been a fan of Hawtin's recent work or DJ sets. Highly recommend catching it if you have the chance.

Oh God, I just noticed that I shared the wrong link. Now I wonder if I listened to the correct song lol

Oh boooooy please report back with your findings.
Ok, apparently I listened to the correct one. I'm a bit skeptical about these kind of vocals in electronic music (it feels generic as you said), and I'd personally prefer this song without the locals.

This may be because I'm more "in the know," but this year feels like a greater than usual year for electronic albums. My overall opinion of music this year leans on this being a weaker year, with the electronic albums making up a lot of my favorites list. I just listened to Robert Hood and FJAAK's albums today, and both are great.
