Eris Drew b2b Octo Octa last night hell fucking yes. So happy that my first show back was at smart bar with two of my favorite DJs, amazing night. A little weird being back in a crowd maskless, even if I’m familiar with the venue and everything. I had a big stupid grin on my face all night. I’d be interested in seeing how many steps I got lol, probably a decent amount. Also, the opener Ariel Zetina played a great set too. I’m gonna predict her name will be popping up more in the near future, every time I’ve seen her I’ve loved it. 10/10 would recommend dancing until near 4am

Your post gave me all the feels. Can’t wait to go to Smartbar when I visit Chicago again.

there's a lot of different places where I could post this but I'm gonna piggyback off of stinky - I had a great time this weekend at round 2 of Smartbar's reopening. Maya/Eris played a lot less 90s house than I would've liked but I think they had the technical 'best' DJ set I saw over the weekend. Blessed Madonna was ok but my personal favorite was resident Shaun J. Wright who dropped a couple of favorites of mine, including Yaz's "Don't Go", into his set (which I incorrectly texted as being a 90s song - whoops!) and then spent the next couple of hours right next to me making out. I love Smartbar and I hope to see some of you all there soon.
Anyone else watching the Ostgut Ton anniversary stream? This Barker x Baumecker set has been great so far.
Didn’t know this was happening, but will save to check out later. They’re a solid label; they gave me a ton of free goodies because German post stopped all US shipping for several months last year, so a couple of their records were just sitting there. I did not expect nor ask for anything at all, but they were very appreciative and even wrote a handwritten letter.
Someone recommend me / list me great records / ep's from this year, prefferably non-Western artists but anything's good. I've been trying to catch up and seeing how Horst is going down this weekend makes me feel all wanting to discover new electronic music.

Paranoid London released an EP this year (Annihilate the World & Start All Over). Nothing groundbreaking just good acid house tracks. Also, I really liked Jimmy Edgar's Cheetah Bend from earlier this year. Reminded me of SOPHIE some fire mixes came out through Dekmantel Podcast from Ace Moma, Kareem Ali, & Conducta
