What time did sleigh bells go on that everyone seems to think phantogram should play at? This will be my third time seein them, and it'll still take a very serious conflict for me to miss them.

Unless Radiohead is playing when Phantogram is (not gonna happen), then IM SO NOT MISSING. I have seen them live in a tiny dive (Drunken Unicorn) that holds about 150 people - Amazing - in hell at the Masq - AMAZING - and in Heaven at the Masq - AMAZING. They are simply lovely live. The album is pretty "produced" so if you listen to them, and think that the show would be "too chill" you're incorrect. Sarah and Josh KILL it live. High energy. Great visuals. I really hope they'll be at night. And def not in Sleigh Bells slot last year - that was a total clusterquack.

Do they have a drummer playing live for them? I've seen several live videos where they have a drummer playing, but also a lot without a drummer. Is there anyone who has seen them recently who knows?
I've seen them four times already (Sasquatch 2010, once in Pittsburgh and twice in Atlanta) and every time has been completely different, despite the same-ish setlist (they play their whole album and a few off of their new EP). Though I've been playing the crud out of Eyelid Movies since it came out, I still insist it is the best album to go jogging to.
They are an insanely talented duo and it doesn't hurt that both of them are unashamedly gorgeous people. It's almost unfair.
Rhodesrs, the last time I saw them (this past fall in Atlanta), I can't remember if they had a drummer or not. To be honest, when they get going with the gutteral riffs and light light show, a drummer will be the last thing on your mind. Particularily if they do score a night spot ((fingers crossed!))

They had one last fall, if we saw the same tour. Mine was with Glitch Mob & Com Truise.

Awesome! I am a rock fan more than an electro fan so having a live drummer is fairly important to me. By the way, the Jefferson Theatre is a great place to see a show. I saw the Civil Wars there in December and have tickets for Delta Spirit in April.

That sounds about right when they came through the first time. They blew through with Glitch Mob in July-ish and then came back in November with a wanna-be Vampire Weekend band called Raptar.
And now that you mention it, I think there were drummers for both of those shows. Can't confirm the Sasquatch or Pittsburgh appearances, however.

See ya' there for that show. I'm actually in Cville a lot. The Jefferson is a grand venue.
I feel as if the drummer is a semi-permanent addition. I really may be wrong on that though.

Ah. It was summer for that show. I forgot about the Raptar tour. They played DC and I skipped it because I hate going to the Black Cat.

Nah, you're probably right in assuming this. They've been tourin' fools for the past two years and have really started getting some traction. The first two times I saw them, they seemed like my little secret. But this past year, they seemed to have it all together and word got out. Perhaps they needed a drummer to join the team to complete the package.

For the past 2 years I've always rooted for Bonnaroo to add Phantogram to their lineup. This is probably my top 3 most anticipated performances for '12

It took me a few listens, but I finally got into this band. So glad, because I need to like as many Thursday bands as possible. So far I'm up for Phantogram and Alabama Shakes on Thursday.

phantogram's tour dates show they'll be playing two days at bonnaroo. is that possible? because that would be awesome but i don't know how they could play twice with so little material. hmmm

Sonic Stage maybe?
I could see that happening, and I would be pretty stoked to see it!
The sonic stage is a small stage, where artists usually perform stripped down, acoustic sets. These are usually pretty intimate shows. (I was able to walk right up front a few times) Definitely worth checking out while you're on the farm, and on top of that it's right next too the brooers tent!
edit:here are a few of the sets I saw there last year. (not my videos)
