I think Alabama Shakes will take the cake for the Thursday crowd
hopefully it won't be as crowded as sleigh bells was last year.
F that S!!
Out of curiosity, how bad was it? I was at the front of the tent for Sleigh Bells, so I don't know. I heard rumors that the crowd went all the way to the ferris wheel. Is that true?
I got to Sleigh Bells about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to go on and the closest I could get was about 20ft from the beginning of the tent and there were a lot of folks still behind me. It was by far the most packed Thursday show I've seen.

True. I was there waaaaaay early, and we had planted about 40 feet behind the tree to the right of the back of the tent. By the time Sleigh Bells came on, we were just fed up with the amount of crowding going on so far from the stage, so we turned around to leave, and we walked alllll the way back to beyond the road before it thinned out. absolutely insane.

I saw The Drums before Sleigh Bells and after they finished a lot of the front people for The Drums left, so I was 20 ft from the stage for Sleigh Bells. Then 5 min later there was a huge push forward and everyone got packed in. Tighter than at any show I've ever been to. I couldn't stand there wedged in like that for the next 1.5-2 hours, so I just left. I still watched the show, but ended up back by the tree. It was very crowded. Almost Florence ATM backed up.
Negative. I saw almost the entirety of Sleigh Bells and all of Deerhunter. Sleigh Bells was up against Walkmen and either Twin Shadow or Childish Gambino, I can't remember. Either way, still was possible to see both of them.

Yeah same here I saw about 70% of Sleigh Bells and then got up decently close for Deerhunter to blow my mind

Can't wait to see Phantogram again...saw them open for Minus the Bear in 2009 in a tiny venue and they killed it. I'm sure their Roo performance will not disappoint
Also... Phantogram is going to be an absolute circus. And it's going to be awesome.
Doubt it will be as bad as Sleigh Bells, especially if they are playing against Alabama Shakes. That one will be the circus.
I hope this happens. I'm seeing Alabama Shakes this week and if there is a conflict, I won't be as bummed missing them for a manageable crowd at a show like Phantogram.

I will be pissed if this happens. And I doubt it will. These are my two must-see's on Thur.
I don't think Phantogram -> Kendrick Lamar will be that difficult at all. The other way around may present issues, but Phantogram isn't as big as Sleigh Bells is/was. I'll agree it has the most potential of any Thursday set to be Sleigh Bells-esque this year, but I don't think it will be.
