I'm always amazed by the lack of accents from people from the south west/southern california/midwest. It's like some grand national television accent that completely smoothed out all the foibles of the atlantic seaboard and the twang of the south east (florida notwithstanding.)

It seems like my accent only appeals to ladies outside of the South (I guess they are used to it). My trip to Portland when I was thinking about going to college there was pretty fun....

I had a bf that used to ask me to say "time" all the time. bc I say it all southern allegedly. how would I spell it... maybe like "tahime" with 1.5 syllables.
