And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
I don't mind paying a bit more for pristine festival grounds and an almost logistically flawless experience. I like to think that's where some of the extra money goes.
Yea but people never mention that when complaining about how much nicer it is than Bonnaroo's venue/grounds. But I do agree that paying a bit more to have things slightly more how you prefer and making things easier is worth it.
Personally I kind of zone out on the full amount I spend on festivals. Like, each summer I know I need a small chunk of money for a ticket, a small chunk for travel, and then a little bit of spending money. I don't know how much I paid for tickets each year as I usually just get whatever I can with the understanding that i'll spend 200-300 bucks on a ticket and however much is needed for travel.
1. The grounds are immaculate. They have people walking around all day and night with little trash picker thingies.
2. The campgrounds are basically as nice as Bonnaroo's VIP camping.
3. The logistics are great. Getting into the fest on Thursday took under an hour. Getting into the gates each day is super quick too, never waited more than 10 minutes.
4. There's a ton more art.
5. Free showers.
That's all I can think of right now, I'm sure there's more.

It always makes me wonder.....are the festival-goers at Roo just more dirty/lazy/careless or are the volunteers/clean-up people at Coachella just more abundant and/or better at what they do?

There are no volunteers at Coachella. They pay legit people to work the fest. And there are A LOT of them!

That's probably it then. Volunteers are likely killing time and not caring while paid people will tend to work a bit harder.
Also, how plentiful are the garbages at Coachella? Like are there a ton of them around or is it like Roo?

There are way more trash containers at Coachella. Clearly marked and easy to find. And if someone decides to just set something down instead, it's picked up quickly.
I think the grounds being so clean makes people act better about throwing away their trash, too. At roo it's kind of like...what's one more water bottle on the ground?
Also, Coachella does a water bottle recycling program. 10 empty bottles=1 free water. So that helps too.

^^ that water recycling program is a really good idea.
At FFFfest in Austin last year they didn't have plastic water bottles. All the had were lil milk cartons, it was weird seeing punx and metalheads looking like they were drinking milk in the sun everywhere.

Totally agree. I wish it was a bit cleaner at Roo to avoid people just adding to the problem.
I do also think the late night scene is a big cause of the garbage too. People too involved in their mind-state and shows to even care about searching out a garbage can in the dark.
I always thought it had alot to do with the downtime between the end of the fest and the opening of the gates the next day, but its sparkling clean all day long. I agree its the mindset of "just one more bottle"

Hate the beer gardens. And only Heineken to boot. Got excited when I found a miller lite tap, yuck. More trash is the price you pay for being able to drink a beer while watching a show.
-Proper watering of the grass would be a godsend at Roo. Very jealous of their sprinklers... -water recycling/trade program is incredible!! I'd be all over that. -no beer at Coachella? that has to be a joke, right?
