Hi All, This will be my 1st Roo, 1st time VIP, new to Inforoo.
Question (sorry in advance about the brief story)... I'm traveling down in a caravan with a bunch of my friends who are all going GA, so they want to arrive Wednesday night for obvious reasons. But for me it sounds like VIP access doesn't start until Thursday Morning.
Here's where is gets complicated for me, I also promised my two other VIP'ers that I'd pick them up in Nashville Thursday late afternoon/eve.
Any advice on how to handle this?
If i get in Wednesday night, should I maybe get a hotel room somewhere then enter VIP early Thursday, setup camp, then go to pickup my other VIP'ers?
Is that even an option to setup camp Thursday morning and then drive out Thursday afternoon, to return Thursday eve? Is that workable thru the VIP entrance?
Or should I just get a hotel room in Nashville wed night, and stay in Nashville until my friends arrive and just enter VIP Thursday eve. Would it be bad to get to VIP late Thursday?
Let me qualify one thing, telling them to take the shuttle from Nashville in is not really an option. I wish it were that simple.

You will not be able to enter and leave until Saturday.
You meeting them in Nashville and coming in late would seem to be the only option.
And good luck getting a room in Coffee County on Wednesday night now. Maybe it's not impossible, but it's sure as hell improbable at this late date.
A bunch of us in VIP (~50+ in all) meet up on Thursday morning and roll in together. If you'd like to be part of that (could be helpful if they end up w/the car & you're left in need of a ride!) then join us. We'll help you get in & set up.
If I was you, I'd try to get to VIP as early as possible on Thursday afternoon/early evening. There is a nice little dinner buffet spread and free beer, and I've always looked at it as a good opportunity to meet my neighbors - "Hey, want to go up and grab a beer" - and other VIP'ers. It's honestly one of my favorite times. Also, there are sure to be some pretty darn good shows on Thursday night, plus a special private VIP show.

It sounds like I should probably just split up from my GA friends, who have their own cars, and get a hotel room somewhere near Nashville. That way I can pick up the other VIP'ers and head in sometime Thursday eve, 7pm-ish.
Are there really any bad camp sites in VIP? I mean will getting there around 7pm Thursday night leave me wishing I'd arrived earlier.

^ I'm pretty sure there are no bad camp sites in VIP! Some are just a farther distance from the main tents & showers, etc.
Our group has been fortunate enough the last few years to land almost exactly halfway between the What Stage wall and the VIP tents. We arrive on Thursday morning (around 10am), which probably helps.
We plan to roll in around the same time this year, so there's a chance our collective setup may have met its space quota by the time you arrive. We can try to save you some room, but I can't guarantee anything. No worries! We'll have a HUGE communal area set up somewhere in our midst. Even if your tent is physically located elsewhere in VIP, you're always welcome to come chill with us!
Who knows? Your late-Thursday arrival might mean you get placed closer to the Centeroo entrance. That's where later arrivals have been placed the last couple of years.

When you get in later, you actually could end up with a much closer spot to centeroo. I do not know why, but they typically save a few rows there for late comers. I am not sure if they open those Thursday night or Friday Morning though.
I'd love to setup camp early Thursday AM then go get my friends Thursday afternoon and come back, but don't want to risk getting stuck without being able to drive out and get them later.
